🤩 Last year was a lot of fun, but a lot of work. So after taking some hibernation time I started the year strong by diving into Jakub Stefaniak’s Salesforce AppExchange Success Blueprint: Transform your ideas into profitable and scalable Salesforce applications. A great read which I highly recommend to pretty much anyone in the Salesforce ecosystem as it not only gives a great overview of all aspects involved in creating Salesforce AppExchange apps, but also provides a broad introduction into important Salesforce topics like integrations, automations, etc. which benefit ISVs, SIs and customers alike. 🤩 🪄 I loved taking a peek into the behind the scenes magic of AppExchange listings, test drive and trial orgs, security reviews and so much more. Understanding the valuable feedback gained through the security review process really resonated with me as learning to appreciate and value feedback was such an important step to me becoming an architect. 🪄 🤓 Even more so than expected, I saw the similarities between what is important for an SI and for an ISV such as ideas-first vs. needs-first approach, understanding your customers, change management and setting clear goals through KPIs and metrics. With the added value of partner tools providing some strong foundation for the latter through prebuilt analytics. Don’t understand what I’m talking about? Don’t worry Jakub has the right analogy to explain it to you! 🤓 🐹 With this book, Jakub has given new bright creative minds with great ideas the tools to speed up innovation on AppExchange even more (or in his words: to make Harry the Hamster run even faster).
