Piper Flight School Alliance member Paragon Flight Training of Fort Myers, Florida, has taken delivery of the 200th Pilot 100i produced by Piper Aircraft. This milestone aircraft joins Paragon’s fleet of over thirty Piper Pilot 100is and one Seminole. Piper Aircraft has produced the Pilot 100i for four years, and Piper’s Flight School Alliance partners value the high dispatch reliability of the platform, which utilizes Garmin full panel avionics, a Lycoming IO-360 180 HP engine, and a three-seat configuration. An official sneak peek into the NEW Full Flight Simulator arriving in Winnipeg, Manitoba early 2025! As seen in this video, Keewatin Air’s Training Captain, Duncan Phillips, and Training Manager, Darrell Grantham, are operating the FFS (Full Flight Simulator) device, virtually flying the King Air B200 aircraft into the Thompson, Manitoba (YTH) airport. Duncan and Darrell were on-site at the TRU Simulation Facility in Tampa Bay, Florida, completing the final part of the IPA (In Plant Acceptance) testing of the FFS device in December. Our FFS device is unique as it is convertible between the Beechcraft King Air B200 and the 350 Series aircraft supported with the GARMIN G1000NXi Avionics Suite. As the IPA is now completed, TRU is preparing to ship the device in early 2025 to its new home at the world-class EIC Flight Training Academy (EFTA) facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. . 💡Flight test campaign of a system capable of autonomously flying a FAR 23 aircraft, through the implementation of a Supplemental Type Certificate. As for now, it will however use a safety pilot. According to the article, it is capable of generating alternative routes for pilot approval, as well as two-way spoken communication with ATC. Interesting!
