The right tool for the job. While it's no longer as rare as it once was, some folks are surprised when they find out I'm a Mac user. It's just not as common in the IT Managed Service space. This time of year is always fun though as Apple rolls out new OS features across their entire line at their World Wide Developers Conference (I got to go back in 2006!). Here's a link to the keynote from yesterday: https://lnkd.in/eqxaTrUW - I'm really looking forward to installing iOS 18 when on my summer vacation! As a professional I've supported Macs and PCs, sometimes in mixed environments, sometimes just one or the other. When folks ask me which they should use though I ask what they intend to do with their computer, what applications they need to run (less important as web apps become the norm in business and enterprise), and in many cases, what level of support will they need to have within the organization. The same rational applies to a lot of other things as well. I'll stand up for Net Friends a bit and say that it's important when thinking about your choice for IT providers. Will they meet your needs, can they support your systems, are your organizational goals in alignment? Whether it's your computer, your IT Provider, an ERP System, etc., it's so key to make an informed choice, thinking about your needs, goals, budget, etc.
