Men often neglect their health and fail to prioritize regular check-ups and preventative care. This can lead to serious medical conditions going undiagnosed and untreated until it's too late. The narratives shared by the widows underscore the tragic consequences of this behaviour, with young men passing away from treatable conditions. To address this issue, there needs to be a greater focus on engaging and educating men about the importance of proactive healthcare. Programs and interventions that have traditionally targeted women and girls should also make concerted efforts to include men from the outset.
