We are looking to hire an Applied Performance Scientist. Under the direction of the Performance Science Manager, the Applied Performance Scientist will assist in developing, supporting, and improving performance science processes and systems across departments within Baseball Operations. A successful candidate for this role must be able to work collaboratively and effectively across multiple subdisciplines. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in exercise science, physiology, and/or biomechanics, coupled with experience providing performance solutions to competitive athletes as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for area scouts to lead the identification and evaluation process of amateur prospects in their assigned geographic area to lay the groundwork for future acquisition opportunities in both the amateur and professional realms. Area scouts will need to be able to evaluate a player’s physical abilities, skill level, and makeup on and off the field.
