“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” -Martin Luther King Jr. #MLKDay The best way to celebrate the legacy of #MLK is to take action and make a difference. 👇 💜🤝Volunteer - whether at an animal shelter, a food kitchen for the homeless, or for one of your local nonprofits, volunteering makes a difference in your community. 💜🤝 Donations- making any type of donation like money, clothes, food, blankets, supplies, or even donating your time is a good way to give back to your community. 💜🤝 Service Projects- can look like cleaning a park, tutoring youth, planting trees, helping others register to vote, or locating books to give to local libraries or schools.

Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. Stanley Tree Service is creating a challenge! We donated one tree removal for one dollar, and we want to ask others to continue this. Local toy drives have a special place in our hearts because they directly impact the lives of children in our very own community. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference to a child who may otherwise go without a gift during the holidays. By donating to local drives, you're not only spreading joy but also fostering a sense of togetherness and compassion. Where can you donate? Big Brothers and Big Sisters of RI: This local organization collects clothing and soft fabrics for children in need and distributes them to families within the community. You can donate to their bins at the VFW as well as the Cup Defenders on Wood St. Bristol Police Department: They often host a holiday toy drive, and donations can be dropped off at their headquarters. Local Churches: Many churches in Bristol actively participate in toy drives during the holiday season. Check with your local parish to see if they have a collection. Schools and Community Centers: Keep an eye out for toy collection bins at your local schools or community centers. If we can become aware of others and what the community is hosting this holiday season, one purchase, one drive, one thought can directly impact someone else this holiday season for the better. In Phoenix, dehydration isn't just a discomfort; it's a life-threatening issue, especially for our homeless population. Temperatures often soar above 100°F, and without adequate hydration, the risk of severe health complications skyrockets. It’s a silent crisis that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. We often take for granted the simple act of turning on a tap. For some, it’s a luxury they can’t afford. By raising awareness and taking action, we can help ensure that everyone has access to this basic necessity. The Sullivan employees have donated to bring this support to our community. Congratulations Team Space2BHeard CIC What can you learn for your business from this amazing bunch? This past weekend I had the pleasure of being the support driver as my wife and her work colleagues took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for a cause very personal to one of the group. Not the ideal weekend to pick as it was very hot and incredibly humid, but they all managed to complete the challenge. So what can we learn? 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 - All of them had to dig deep at various points and find it within to push through those hard moments knowing it would get better. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 - There were so many stories afterwards of helping each other at various points. It is very difficult to achieve anything of significance entirely on your own. 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - They weren't entirely focused on finishing but as the photos show, they made sure they took time to enjoy the journey too. 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 - Saving the most important until last. With out doubt the biggest motivating factor for completing was the reason for the walk. A higher purpose for a business acts in the same way for it's people.
