Hot news: Heat pumps outshine gas in the long run, our research finds. That’s the key finding of our ground-breaking study conducted with Aachen University. Investing in heat pumps combined with solar panels can be more cost-effective in the long run compared to purchasing and using a new gas heating system. The study reveals that this switch can result in lower costs after a decade, highlighting the potential for significant long-term savings in heating and powering homes. How long do Solar Panels last? Solar panels are a widely favoured option for businesses seeking to decrease their dependence on conventional energy sources. These panels typically have a life span ranging from 25 to 30 years. However, various factors, including the panel type, quality, and local climate, can influence this duration. By ensuring proper maintenance, solar panels can exceed this estimated time frame and serve even longer.
