Communications Coach | Soft Skills Trainer | Speaker | Entrepreneur | Leadership Development & Personal Growth Expert | Energy Industry Professional
Celebrating Crüe Club’s Evolution & Looking Ahead! As we bid farewell to Q1, I’m struck by the incredible journey Crue Club has embarked on. We've not only introduced our now-popular Topic Series events but also filled every seat at the table, sparking insightful discussions and forging meaningful connections in the process. It’s about more than just networking for us. It's about discussing the critical issues facing our industry today and preparing for the uncertainties of tomorrow. This summer, we’re taking it a step further with our Leadership & Personal Growth workshops—a space where personal and professional growth intersect, addressing a gap in our industry: the need for leadership development. And there’s more on the horizon this fall as we tackle operational challenges head-on, providing actionable solutions for our members. The pride I feel for this community and the value it delivers is immense. But here's the thing: access to this unique blend of networking, insight, and development is becoming increasingly rare. In an era marked by frequent M&A activity, traditional industry events often miss the mark, leaving attendees craving more substance and fewer superficial connections. Leadership roles are expanding, but the opportunity for growth and development isn’t keeping pace. This is where Crue Club shines. To our members and those on the brink of joining: spaces are limited. With the demand high and availability tight, now is the moment to seize this unparalleled opportunity to differentiate and elevate both yourself and your team in ways only Crue Club can offer. If you’re ready to embrace a new way of connecting, learning, and leading, reach out. Let’s make your next move your best move. You can subscribe to our Crue Club newsletter for regular updates and key takeaways from our topic series discussions. #CrueClub #LeadershipDevelopment #GenuineConnections #IndustryInnovation #OilandGas

NACD Northern California was delighted to welcome veteran and revered director, Herman Bulls for our Veteran's Cohort program, "Combating the Corporate World: A Veteran's Guide to Boardroom Success." Bulls was generous enough to share his inspiring and personal journey with our community. Thank you to Patrick Huston for asking all the questions that we wanted to hear. Key takeaways and video below: 💡 Mission and People: Emphasize "mission first, people always" to accomplish goals while caring for the team's welfare. Although AI and technology will impact business, it ultimately comes back to prioritizing the human elements, particularly in decision-making. 💡Veterans in Their Boardroom Journey: Trust your qualifications and experience to build confidence within corporate circles. Create a strong board bio that emphasizes transferable skills for boardroom success. Avoid acronyms and have a non-military mentor review it to ensure it translates well to the boardroom. 💡Leadership Skills: The leadership skills learned in the military are key to a successful boardroom transition. Lead from the front, middle, and back, focusing on human connections and strong communication skills. 💡Effective Communication: Master the arts of speaking, writing, listening, and understanding how your own body language and that of those around you can affect communication and connection. 💡Transfer of Military Expertise: You don’t have to be an expert in all aspects of the boardroom, but you do need to be curious, commit to continuous learning, and anticipate risks. This allows you to ask important questions and help ensure the longevity and success of the business. 💡Diverse Perspectives: A successful boardroom requires diversity of perspectives and board members who understand changing demographics and market needs. To stay relevant and competitive, businesses need to consider diverse backgrounds among employees and customers, and understand how this diversity can positively impact business. 💡Networking Versus Connecting: Authenticity is key to building long-standing relationships that may secure your future role as a board director. Truly connect with people on a deeper level, focusing on relationships rather than purely transactional engagements. 💡Critical Decision-Making: Consider your employees, suppliers, the communities you operate in, and shareholders to gain clarity on how to respond to each group. Good leaders have conviction and purpose and may need to make controversial decisions. Recognizing that you can't make everyone happy but instead doing what is in the best interest of these groups in the long-term is critical as a good leader. 💡Board Dynamics and Culture: Build alliances and a positive board culture through creating connections and having open feedback. Ensure you have a board buddy if you are not assigned one to understand the culture of the board better. Thank you to Dr. Keith D. Dorsey and Boyden for hosting.

CEO and Founder of Hospitality Staffing Company based in Westchester County serving Westchester, NYC & Fairfield County, CT | Entrepreneur Educating Other Entrepreneurs | Follow for Inspiring Stories and Knowledge
Endurance and Excellence: The (Knicks &) Toth Event Staffing Spirit 🌟 At Toth Event Staffing, our core values are more than just words—they are the very essence of our daily operations and achievements. Tonight, as we celebrate the wins of the Knicks and Villanova squad, I'm reminded of these foundational qualities that parallel the virtues seen on the court. 1. Resourceful Service: Just as our staff tackles challenges head-on, solving problems before they reach our clients, our favorite teams displayed unmatched resourcefulness, turning potential setbacks into strategic advantages. 2. Professionalism: Our team’s professionalism mirrors that of the Knicks and Villanova players who, well-prepared and poised, compete with integrity and respect. 3. Calming Influence: Amid the high stakes of professional sports, like in our events, maintaining a calming presence is crucial. Both our staff and these athletes exemplify how staying composed can steer the course to victory. 4.Gracious Leadership: Leadership on and off the court is about lifting others up. Our leaders, some who have been with us since our inception in 2011, share the same spirit of mentorship and guidance that coaches instill in their teams. 5. Experience: Experience counts—whether it's hosting a seamless event or navigating a tight game. Our seasoned professionals and these veteran players both show the confidence that comes from years of practice and dedication. 6. Quality/Longevity/Endurance: We make decisions for the long haul, much like how a sports team builds for future seasons. Tonight's victories are just one example of enduring success achieved through commitment to quality. Celebrating not just the victories, but the enduring spirit and shared values that make them possible. Let’s go Knicks! Let’s go Villanova Squad! Cheers to Hartenstein, Mitchell Robinson, OG Anunoby, McBride, Precious, Hart, Divencenzo, and Jalen Brunson for their incredible performances and embodiment of these principles. #TothEventStaffing #TeamValues #Sportsmanship

Huge congratulations to James Kaikis being listed in Pavilion's top 50 CROs to watch. James has completely transformed TestBox in just the last 9 months. Under his leadership we've: - Defined a new way of delivering customer value under a unified GTM motion. As the leader of the function he owns, Marketing, Sales, Solutions, Value Realization and Implementation. This is no small feat. He has created a unified experience internally and externally with our customers where there are no handoffs and no throwing things over the wall. Instead, every single function is aligned with the same message and same outcomes to drive towards. - James doesn't let things sit. He's provocative in a productive way. Look at his LinkedIn where he has frequently called out the Solutions Engineering profession and their need to evolve to get a seat at the table. He doesn't just say what is wrong, he provides suggestions and input to help others. - We've 4x both the business and the GTM org in the last six months - We jokingly call him BDR of the year, he has brought in a large number of all our most promising prospects - He has his fingerprints on everything we do. Whether that's our marketing messaging, our sales playbooks, or value realization. He's able to deliver across the board consistently. - I've also worked in places where people work hard, damn hard, and James is up there with the best of them. He holds accountability as a true value of his and never lets it go. - He's gone on quite the journey to get fairly technical on our product and understand things that are not easy. I'm proud to have him as our GTM leader.
Pavilion’s 50 CROs to Watch list is live now 🚀 Nominated by their peers, VCs, and/or their employees – these 50 individuals are some of the most dynamic and visionary revenue leaders of our industry.
