Anxiety and communications in primary care: 📈 In any given week in England, 6 in 100 people will be diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) 📈 Around 8m people in the UK have some form of anxiety 📈 1 in 3 employees in the UK suffer from moderate to severe depression or severe anxiety. How many patients are affected by anxiety in your GP practice right now? How many more might have it but haven't sought support or treatment? I was surprised as we dug into the stats at a multi-site practice last week to find just how much anxiety was impacting patient experience and perhaps understanding of patient comms there.
