Did you know that this Memorial existed? More than 4,000 black men, women, and children died at the hands of white mobs between 1877 and 1950. Can you name any of them? This memorial in Montgomery, Alabama, is trying to change that. 🎥 CNN #montgomeryalabama

Shameful history to have to memorialize but the other side is removing denial and lies of our past. Incredibly heart moving work of art too.

This memorial touched me deeply, a constant reminder that the effort to resist oppression is ongoing and relentless

This is one of the most eye-opening and somber places I have visited since Robben Island and the National Civil Rights Musuem. Both experiences open your eyes to the full weight of history. Make plans to visit this site and the museum. Parents should bring their children.
