Happy International Women in Engineering Day! Did you know there's positive growth in women pursuing engineering degrees? In the US, the number of women getting engineering bachelor's degrees has increased, though the percentage increase is modest. How do we get more females into Engineering? Is it about getting more females interested in STEM? Is it about removing unconscious biases of the people around them? Is it about fixing systemic inequities? Or is it about creating more visible female role models? When I did my bachelor's in Information Technology many years ago - we were 4 female students in a class of 32. Later, while pursuing my Masters in Human Resources the ratio was reverse!
