Declutter Your Design I used to be a big fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. When it newly came out on Nickelodeon, I would watch it, and even watch repeat episodes on the same day like I had never seen it before. We have SpongeBob and Squidward working for Mr. Krabs at the Krusty Krab, making Krabby patties, and doing their best to protect the formula from getting into the hands of Plankton, Mr. Krab’s one and only nemesis. Everything Plankton did had one end goal: to steal the Krabby Patty formula. Whether he was opening a new restaurant, or creating a chemical formula to change into another creature or trying to woo Mr. Krabs’ mother (he did this and almost got away with it. Close one), the bottom line is, his motive is to steal the Krabby Patty formula and run Mr. Krabs out of business. So, no matter what form Plankton came in, once he was spotted in the Krusty Krab, everyone knew what he was there for. It’s the same principle that applies when it comes to content. #uiux #productdesign #womenintech #creativity https://lnkd.in/grBiyCRD

Brand Identity Designer | Harnessing the Art of Branding to Increase Sales and Build Lasting Customer Relationships
I actually almost stopped. 🛑 Halfway into this design, the contrast between the pizza and the background was too much and it was tough getting them to blend well. My solution was to use a different Background (I actually had a couple of other background choices). But I wanted this background. I saw the concept on Pinterest and wanted to recreate it, so it had to be this background. 💡 I deleted all adjustment layers and started blending from scratch, and gradually it began to come together. Shadows, color adjustments, and saturation started to fit in one layer at a time. At the end, I got exactly what I had in mind because I didn't stop ✨ It's just a design, and even with a different background, I'd have gotten a result but not the result I wanted. I realized that just any result would never be as good as the result I wanted. It's design, but It's also life 🧬 I didn't stop, It got tough and I started afresh. I was unsure of a different outcome, but I did it anyway. #personalbranding #creativedesign #businessjourney #entrepreneurlife

Burger social media post design. As a designer, I wanted to build excitement by using a playful loading symbol as the central theme of this burger post. The idea was to create anticipation, symbolizing the 'coming soon' concept, while keeping the visuals minimal yet engaging, teasing the audience with what's cooking behind the scenes. #socialmediapostdesign #postdesign #burger #burgerposts #burgerlovers #comingsoon #process #postdesignprocess #simple #minimalpostdesign #socialmedia

I like to think of ads like houseplants. You'll overwater (over-design) some and leave others out to dry (under-design). Some won't thrive in your house (ad account) no matter how hard you try. Some plants you'll keep for years, and some will wilt after only a little while. But the main reason creative are like houseplants: You can propagate! 🌱 You can propagate a healthy plant by cutting off a small piece and putting it in water to grow new roots and become a new plant. Just like how you can take components from top-performing ads to make iterations. Take too much too fast, and the original plant (concept) dies... But if you're methodical and intentional, you can get new plants (concepts) for years to come 🪴

🎯Design work with intention vs. spit balling. FLIP YOUR COIN—mine lands on the EDGE. 👉Full confession—I’ve done both. I’ve filled the stable (669’s offerings) with a herd of both planned and unplanned designs. Is one better than the other? That depends. Intention can be “rigid” whereas “spit balling” can be mind bending excitement! ------or a reckless waste of precious time. Dancing together!! ~~in harmony and chaos. Sometimes we spit ball because we need to create just for the sake of creating. ..that may sound weird. –but it makes perfect sense to me (—and probably many other creatives). Enter---stage left---"SIZE MATTERS” Spitball: It took on an organic life of its own. Intention: But was reigned in with the color pallet. I was terrified dumping over 40 hours into it— --but it took off- --like a runaway train …that doesn’t always happen! ---- It’s not always wrong to swing for the fences… .but if you’re going to spit ball…. make sure that it hits the target with intention. 🎯 How about you? Do you have a method to your madness? ---------- I’m Scott---from Studio 669 I create visuals that knock DOWN the doors of “normal”, making YOUR audience scream for more. Have you heard the news? We’re celebrating 20 years. The old adage is true: time flies when you’re having fun. It turns out, time also flies when you’re working with the best client partners, on the most transformational briefs, collaborating on award-winning creative, with the most talented team in the industry. Well, no surprises there. A milestone like this required something special. So, to celebrate Designwerk’s two decades of crafting ideas, designing solutions and delivering greatness, our team has created the inaugural edition of ‘The Werking Times’, a showcase of highlights featuring the likes of UEFA, Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) and AmazonPrimeVideo, as well as interviews, insights and in-jokes about the industry we all love. And we didn’t stop there. Our motion designers have also encapsulated the past 20 years in an eye-catching new showreel, which you can view here https://lnkd.in/etQj_DU8 How did we manage to distill all our best bits into one reel you ask? It wasn’t easy, but at this threshold of a new Designwerk chapter, we focused on the stories we’ve told that have changed the game. It was a joy to create, and we hope, equally enjoyable to watch. If you’d like a hard copy of The Werking Times, ping an email to edunipace@designwerk.co.uk. Or, if you want to chat about how Designwerk can deliver a 360degree brand experience for your next venture, comment below and we’ll be in touch. #ExpectGreatThings

Cross pollination/Multitask It takes what it takes. If I am to multitask---my visuals can too. To illustrate: Here’s “BRUTUS” my Chevy G/10 from 669’s “Respect the Van” series. He was re-dressed and branded for another group’s application. “WHY?” They were looking for something different, yet they needed wiggle room within the budget. To accommodate those efforts, I offered up one of the RTV vans to play assist. No creating from scratch—the boat (in this case a van) was already built! Multitask/Cross pollination is not a water-down---- It’s stepping UP and stepping into possibilities and opportunities. In business, wiggle room and redirect are vital. Afterall, it’s more than a van in a visual—it’s a “team player” and a visual that will speak to their avatar audience. It also hit a price point that was favorable for all involved. That’s a WIN. You’d be amazed how many different scenarios happen within the studio. Every project has its own needs, and no request is (EVER) off the table. You don’t know unless you ask! ----------- I’m Scott Fisk---from Studio 669, I create visuals that knock DOWN the doors of “normal”, making YOUR audience scream for more. While scrolling through a website, too many animations can cause disturbance for some or many users. It is very similar to a busy design where you have too many things at your plate with very little space. Keeping it simple with smooth transitions may help users to enjoy the scroll and earn more reading time. Designers goal is always to give a good experience. #UXTalks #Dailytips #uxprantic

🏠 Exciting progress update on my site development 🌟 I'm thrilled to share a sneak peek of the homepage, still a work in progress but it's coming up nicely. With a clean layout and captivating design elements, it's starting to come together beautifully. Plus, I haven't added the best part of the site yet—the animations! The animations will breathe life into every interaction, adding an extra layer of engagement and delight for visitors. Stay tuned for more updates as I refine and enhance the homepage. Can't wait to share the final result with you all! #WebsiteDevelopment #HomepageInProgress #ProgressUpdate
