Space and non-Space converge at Munich New Space Summit 🚀 ⛰️ This year`s Munich New Space Summit was once again a successful opportunity for important conversations and collaborations for representatives from governments, private companies and individuals to redefine the space economy 🏆. In different panel discussions, top experts from industry, academia, policymaking, and program making gave insight into challenges and potentials of the space sector 🚀. Exploring the convergence of space and non-space industries, Prof. Andreas Knopp from #SeRANIS and Chair of Signal Processing at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, confidently moderated as well as took part as panelist about secure connectivity solutions. For Teodora Secara, ESA, and Luigi Scatteia, PwC France, space should be an enabler for other industries, since seamless integration serves as a key to reach other sectors. For Oliver Wick, space is inspiring for integration in future architecture. Following Clemens Kaiser, RIVADA, space can provide a solution to secure connectivity, though for Dr. Eva Schmid, mainstream industry has little awareness of (the real vulnerability of) space 💡. Andreas points out, once industry is aware of the importance of space, the capacity won`t be enough to satisfy all needs and e.g. to link up all cars 🚘 🚗 anymore ... His summary, that there is still a long way to go 🌌 “to get other industries into the team” and get space into daily life, met with great approval of the other panelists. #Spacesummit #Secureconnectivity #NewSpaceeconosphere #UniBwM #Satellitemission #Innovation 🛰️ -------- SeRANIS -------- 🛰️ SeRANIS (Seamless Radio Access Networks for Internet of Space) is the first and only small satellite mission in the world to provide a publicly accessible multifunctional experimental laboratory in orbit. 🚀 Launch: 2026! dtec.bw is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU
