The dashboard allows partner restaurants to track their business performance, analyse operational metrics, and even monitor their marketing spend. The dashboard is available to all partner restaurants irrespective of size and cuisine. The dashboard features an Overview Tab that clocks the restaurant’s performance compared to the overall market on key metrics like business, operations, customer, and spending, even providing an overall score and scores in each area for partners to understand their position in the competitive food delivery market. Zomato Gold and Swiggy Dineout offer members discounts ranging up to 60% on various restaurants & bars for dine-in. Once customers redeem the offer, Zomato/Swiggy collect a fee from restaurants for such redemptions. Restaurants looking to avoid such payments have routinely been offering flat 50% off on bill payments. They in fact even ask customers if they would be using restaurant’s offer or that in Zomato or Swiggy, as different bill amounts are prepared based on what a customer chooses. In restaurant’s own offer, they apply a 50% discount on the menu price. In case customer opts for Zomato/Swiggy offer, restaurant gives full bill value. For someone who rarely orders food online, it is at times tedious to keep up with the trends, ratings or even the place I could order my food from - Especially desserts. Brooo. How can a restaurant chain from Powai and Bandra have different quality of Cheesecake? Anyway - I am flipping to Rawa Cake for the time being, as Zomato India suggests. How did I make this flip? Well, as I see this new update from Zomato (could be old, but I got to know it yesterday) I made a bet to just order something sweet. No analysis involved here. But, to my utter shock, it was yummy. So, as you can see this update takes your dining experience review to the next level. It will take into account the distance between your location and the restaurant, ensuring a more contextual and accurate rating system. This update has been highlighting restaurants based on proximity and performance, enhancing my decision-making when choosing where to dine or even where to order from. I think, this is a great move towards a smarter way of getting better deliveries and knowing what everyone around me is eating. A disappointing Onam Sadhya experience with Restaurant Chef Pillai (RCP) via Zomato! This Onam, I decided to order Sadhya for 4 people from Restaurant Chef Pillai (RCP Brigade Road) through Zomato, but the experience turned out to be far from satisfactory. Here’s what went wrong: 1.Overpriced with Missing Items While I understand that ordering from a premium restaurant comes with higher pricing, I was willing to pay for the convenience and quality. However, one of the boxes was missing rice, and instead, a curry box was repeated. Using the same container for rice and curry without proper labeling led to this issue. For a brand like Chef Pillai, where I paid ₹6,000 for 4 people (~₹1,500 per person), missing basic items is unacceptable. 2. Post-Delivery Support Failure (Zomato Care) Zomato’s chat support was frustrating. When I reported the missing item, they asked for a photo. How do I take a picture of something that’s missing? The response to the images I did share was that they were unclear. There’s no direct option to chat or call an agent, unlike Swiggy making it harder to resolve the issue quickly. 3. Unreachable Restaurant The contact numbers for RCP listed on Zomato and Google Business Profile were unreachable, further compounding the issue. For a brand that has grown significantly, it's alarming to see such lapses in customer experience. 4.Time and Cost To prepare Sadhya for 4 people at home would cost around ₹1,000. I paid ₹6,000—nearly 5x more—for convenience, yet ended up with a horrible experience. We had to cook rice ourselves, delaying our meal from 1:30 PM to 3 PM. Key Issues: 1. No proper quality checks at RCP. Suresh Pillai 2.Error-prone system using the same containers and no labeling for rice and curry. 3.Zomato’s chat support system is slow and ineffective. 4.RCP’s contact numbers are unreachable on both Zomato and Google. Brands like Restaurant Chef Pillai need to ensure their quality matches their premium pricing, and Zomato needs to improve post-delivery support to handle issues more effectively.
