🧑🔧️ Did you know that nearly 70% of engineering interns receive full-time job offers after their internship? At RTP, we believe in the transformative power of internships—not just for the interns, but for the companies that host them! One of our latest blog posts dives into how engineering firms like ours leverage internships to drive innovation, recruit future leaders, and fulfill corporate social responsibility. Interns bring fresh perspectives and out-of-the-box thinking that can spark solutions to long-standing challenges. For us, internships aren't just a short-term engagement; they’re a long-term investment in talent, culture, and community. As our General Manager of Engineering, Larry Friedline, puts it, “Internships help the intern learn what we do at RTP and helps us learn about the intern and how they may best fit within our team.” Explore our blog post to see how companies that actively shape the intern experience fulfill their responsibility to the next generation while securing a competitive edge in the dynamic engineering landscape: https://lnkd.in/eZacdazz #EngineeringInternships #STEMCareers #InternshipExperience #FutureEngineers #TalentDevelopment #EngineeringLeadership #CorporateResponsibility #WorkforceDevelopment #EngineeringEducation

🎉 𝖨𝖭𝖳𝖤𝖱𝖭 𝖳𝖠𝖪𝖤𝖮𝖵𝖤𝖱 𝖶𝖤𝖤𝖪 » 𝐑𝐎𝐘 If I had to describe my Providence Engineering internship in three words, I would choose: » Rewarding » Valuable » Engaging I think that this experience is rewarding because I get the opportunity to play a small part in a variety of large projects. It is a valuable experience as it prepares me for my career and even gives me a head start on understanding some topics that I have not yet encountered in my major, like steel design. Finally, I have found this internship to be engaging, especially when I get to be in the field on site visits. #ProvidenceEngineering #InternTakover #SummerIntern2024 #StructuralEngineering

2024 Internship Spotlight: Carter Scheer "Through this summer at my internship at Ray Martin, I have learned a lot about mechanical contracting. Through my short time at Ray Martin, I have learned how important mechanical contracting is to build a building and all the extra stuff most people don’t think about when it comes to building it. I have been mainly learning about bidding, estimating and how important communication is on every project to make it run smoothly as possible. Ray Martin has been helpful in the fact that everyone there is always there to answer questions and to give me the tools and allow me to figure things out on my own, which allows me to understand the systems a lot better. One of the biggest factors in helping me learn these systems is to be able to compare the drawings to how they are built. I have been grateful for the opportunity Ray Martin has given me and excited for the rest of the summer." Company: Ray Martin Title: Intern Expected Graduation Date: May 2027 Major: Mechanical Engineering

The skills I hope to gain at Little Giant Ladder are to learn how to use CAD and how to test prototypes. These are both essential parts of engineering. You have to know how to use CAD to design the products. You also need to test the prototypes to know that they work and are safe. Therefore, these will be very valuable skills to learn.
