Be a clean energy leader
Did you know... New York State's decarbonization law (CLCPA) sets nation-leading goals for heating electrification. In New York City alone, we need to install heat pumps at a rate of approx. 100k homes and dwelling units per year between now and 2030 to stay on track with CLCPA goals. That is a 5x increase from current levels of adoption! At Con Edison, we are designing and delivering programs that support the transformation of New York City's buildings energy use at a scale that few can match. If you are looking for a role that will put you at the forefront of this transformation, then look no further. Con Edison is hiring for a Senior Manager who will lead the company's Building Electrification Strategy, with a focus on clean heat. #cleanenergyjobs #strategy #electrification https://lnkd.in/eT73sQ_K

Executive, Project Management @ Solaroo Systems Sdn Bhd | B.Eng (Hons.) Electrical Engineering | Human Resources Officer, Small Changes MY
[First 2 Weeks Being a Solar O&M Engineer] Hope everyone’s doing well. This time around, I am posting this short article to share yet another milestone in my life/career. After going to numerous interviews since way before my final semester, I finally secured a position as a Solar O&M Engineer. This industry-RE industry-have been in my sights ever since I took RE electives. My first two weeks here have been very fulfilling as I get to learn a lot and my senior Engineers here have been very helpful when guiding me to do day-to-day tasks such as inspecting panels, checking inverter’s health, doing earthing tests and many more! I have been planning on my career path and I hope to gain even more insights from my connections here on LinkedIn. I also wish to take SEDA certificates soon so that I can become a competent person in the Solar industry. Let’s just hope all works out and if it doesn’t, God knows I have tried. ^.^ (p/s I’ve also compiled some readings I’ve done on Google Drive and I don’t mind sharing it!) (p/ss i know there’s no picture of me working or anything but i’ll post that in the future insya-Allah.) #solarengineer #energytransition #renewableenergy

Check out the below opportunity at SEA! A perfect role for fellow emerging 'greenies' and policy wonks in the CPT/WC area. Ps: SEA does some great work. This is the perfect example of why I'm engaged in a personal campaign to steer folks with a similar academic and interest background as mine toward the climate/just transition/energy space both here and abroad. Energy security must mean more than our domestic generation challenges - or energy insecurity problems across the developing world particularly Africa. The #justenergytransition is but one of our generational development challenges. Across large swathes of our neighbours, energy insecurity/scarcity narrows or repudiates the 'just' and/or 'transition'. One of these days, I'll muster the gusto and focus to pen a rant on #justtransition; #justenergytransition; energy security, development. Only on LinkedIn if I lobby myself to believe my take is both hot and seminal (in my own mind).
📢 SEA is hiring! We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Energy Advisor to join our team. View the document below for details on the job description and on the application process. Closing date to apply is 11 August 2023. Contact info@sustainable.org.za for further enquiries.

In the emerging solar economy, there is one skillset that continues to reign supreme: In-field technical aptitude and understanding. This is why senior solar technicians, the folks that can go in the field and lead teams to repair offline equipment ...all the while an asset owner is kicking and screaming due to losing $$$... are able to pick and choose where they work. It's also why new Independent Power Producers and large investment funds are hiring the best and the brightest from the field to lead new asset and O&M teams. There aren't enough people with these skillsets out there and it will be exciting to see new training partnerships and paradigms emerge that facilitate new technicians getting to the field faster, safer, and with an edge. #solar #technicians #training
