Last week was an exciting learning experience for me as I delved into the basics of MongoDB. I learned how to create and configure databases, ensure their security, and even explored the fascinating world of MongoDB Atlas. I successfully connected a small application with MongoDB Atlas and expanded my knowledge by exploring different ways to connect to the platform. Looking forward to implementing these learnings in future projects! Thankyou Hitesh Choudhary sir #MongoDB #DatabaseManagement #LearningAndDevelopment

My dear network - feedback is needed! Do you use MongoDB? Do you know anyone who uses it? At Percona, I'm observing the adoption of major versions of MongoDB. I have some interesting findings! I looked at the last 90 days of new MongoDB installations. Here's what I found: 🤔 Version 6.0.x has rapidly gained high adoption, while version 7.0.x is being adopted more cautiously. That’s surprising, as upgrading between major MongoDB versions is relatively straightforward and low-risk. 💚 On the one hand, 7.0.x brings much value with performance, security, and developer experience. ⚠️ On the other hand, you must be aware of some risks we’ve shared within five changes you should know in MongoDB 7 (link in comment). I’m very interested in the reasons and risks you see in adopting the new version. If you’re willing to share - please let me know! #mongodb #percona #db #dba

Eight Days.... A Reminder: MongoDB 4.4 reaches End-Of-Support-Life on February 29. A couple of important notes: 1) Atlas clusters that have not received an extension will be forced-upgraded to MongoDB 5.0 2) Limited-time EOL support extensions are possible - check with your MongoDB Customer Success Manager or Account Team if you think you may require this #mongodb #upgrade #eol #support

Easy backups of mongodb 🌀💽 Yes there is one simpler way to take backups of collections. Whenever you need to perform some updates in mongodb, you always ask to take backup of collection in order to revert changes if something fails. In this case, mongodb archival is one of the option. But another simpler option is you can use $out aggregation stage to create backup collection. And if everything works as expected after deployment of services, we can easily remove backup collection. #mongodb
