Its official, our school estates are in disrepair. Panorama thinks so too! Who’s watched Panorama’s ‘Britain’s Crumbling Schools’? Within the first 20 seconds we hear from a Headteacher who said “everyday I come in, there’s a new problem”. The eye-opening documentary shines a light on the challenges faced by our education system. From dilapidated buildings and outdated facilities to teachers and support staff at the end of their tether, it’s clear the structural and systematic issues within our schools are having a tangible impact on the learning experience of our children. What’s more, there seems to be a stark disparity in infrastructure between schools in different regions with funding issues and bureaucratic hurdles leading to an education landscape where some schools are left to crumble while others thrive. And it’s not just the students who are suffering. Educators are experiencing unprecedented levels of burn out and stress. With limited resources and outdated facilities, they’re finding themselves grappling with insufficient materials, inadequate technology and classroom spaces that are anything but conducive to effective education. And with a steady influx of passionate and dedicated educators needed to shape the future of education, this is extremely worrying. At RAD, we are passionate about enhancing the student and teacher experience. If you have an issue with your estate, whether it’s beyond repair or curriculum changes mean you need to update spaces, contact us for a free consultation. We can deliver a full turnkey solution, or simply plug the gaps. https://lnkd.in/egWEstBz

One common argument against #SchoolChoice and #EmpowermentScholarshipAccounts in Arizona is that families will lose access to student accommodations if they opt out of public schools. This narrative is simply FALSE. Before making such claims, it's essential to hear from families who are benefiting from these choices and understand the reality. Parents utilizing #ESA funds actually gain access to a wealth of resources—assessments, therapists, treatment modalities, curriculum, and more. Whether they choose homeschool, microschool, or charter school options, they avoid the delays and gatekeeping often encountered in public schools, ensuring their children receive the necessary support and accommodations. At Hayes Resource Group, we collaborate with families year-round to ensure their children receive the required accommodations within the public school system. Parents are frustrated with being disregarded, told their children don't "need" services, or made to feel incompetent. They're often forced to pay out of pocket for services that schools are funded to provide, causing their children to suffer while they fight for an equitable education. School choice is a right, a freedom that every family should have. In Arizona, ESAs offer a vital tool and opportunity for parents to provide their children with the education best suited to their needs. #HRG understands all aspects of school choice and remains committed to advocating for parents' ability to select the best educational path for their children.
Demand for special education options is at a record high. 📈 How does school choice equip families to find the best possible solution for their students? Fox Business Network | Corey DeAngelis #SchoolChoice #SchoolChoiceNow

What does it take to start a little school, surrounded by forest, farms and a big vision? 🌱 We’re finding out now. Last year, I read an article in our local newspaper about a committed group of parents who were starting Sorø Friskole. Their vision included the philosophy of Dewey, being in nature, play, PBL, experimentation and whole-body learning. I sent an email to the parent group, asking if I could help and 9 months later, I’ve had the privilege of being on the sidelines in an advisory position and learning all about the process of starting a school. And, wow. It’s a lot of work. Setting up financeses, collaboration with the municipality, holding info meetings, making decisions about how the school will run, learning the law in regards to alternative schools, getting volunteers, spreading awareness, detailing the vision, website, coordinating help, securing a building… the list is endless. And then, getting kids to sign up. There isn’t a school without kids. I’m blown away at the work involved. And the commmittment, passion and dedication it takes from this foundational group. I want to give a massive shout-out to Mads Algreen Torp who is a member of this group and has driven this project from dream to reality. I have no idea how he continues to find the time and energy that’s required for this process. Mads’s parents actually started the original Sorø Friskole (which closed some years ago) and to see his father by his side at the last parent meeting was something really special. ☺️ People often tell me: “It’s probably just easier to start a new school than try to change an existing school…” And I’m here to say, no. Neither are easy. And yet, we must continue to believe both are possible. 🌱 Photo: Sorø Friskole and the last parent information meeting. #pbl #projectbasedlearning
