As the demand for larger and taller modular timber structures in cross-laminated timber (CLT) rises, ensuring robust horizontal connections between modules becomes imperative for structural integrity. However, this can inadvertently lead to acoustic contact bridges. In anticipation of an upcoming project in the Netherlands, CDM Stravitec conducted a comprehensive test arrangement using two 3D modules in CLT to explore different methods of interconnection.
