Jane Milton, I love your article and video clip on the perfect cuppa, but it also raises a red flag with me! What about the 11.6 billion microplastic particles and 3.1 billion nanoplastics in every teabag? 1 innocent little teabag isn't a problem, but in the UK we go through 1 million every day! That's a lot of microplastics added to the environment and if that doesn't concern you, the damage to our health is something we should be aware of! The toxins in microplastics interfere with our gut health and immune systems which can lead to more serious health problems. An intetesting read: https://lnkd.in/eedjg3up https://lnkd.in/exbegcjt. Over 90% of teabags contain these plastics, so we either need to put the 'squeeze' on Tetley to stop using polypropylene PP, or simply move to plastic free tea bags or loose tea and use a tea strainer. A bit heavy for a Friday morning? If you've read my post, you may need a cuppa, but maybe rethink you choice of tea. Forgive my intrusion on your article, but if we don't speak up, nothing changes! There is always something going on in my business. Straight back from a busy few days at #SFFF with a group of businesses from the Pacific and Caribbean, helping them all cement relationships with distributors and then @5_news asked to talk about making a good cup of tea. Interviewed for a little segment by @Ruth5News which appeared last night. Great to chat tea with Ruth and now really looking forward to being able to share some exciting news in the next few weeks about @terredocfr teas in the UK....
