There are several #texture patterns for #knurling, each with a specific purpose. The most common include: 1,Diamond pattern: This is the most common type, with a crisscross pattern of diagonal lines that form small diamonds. This pattern provides excellent grip in multiple directions and is widely used in the gripping parts of tools and equipment. 2,Straight grain: Made up of parallel lines running horizontally or vertically along the surface. This pattern provides good grip in one direction, but may be less effective in twisting motions, making it suitable for applications that require unidirectional force. 3,Mixed pattern: Combines elements of diamond and straight patterns, designed to achieve a balance between multi-directional grip and aesthetics. This design is suitable for products that require flexibility and visual appeal.#Wayken

Choosing Your Hand Saw: Bowsaws Part 1 Jacob Andre Roubo, in his writings in the 18th century, shed some light on the milling process with what we know today as a Roubo Frame Saw, a monster that can be used to mill logs. Ironically, Roubo's writings are a call to recover the lost art of craftsmanship. Imagine if more than 200 years ago this was an issue, how much we have lost today. Almost all handloom fabrics use a white or natural-colored thread for the warp, reserving colors for the weft (the threads that run horizontally and are made to run over and under the warp threads). This common practice reduces the time and labor involved in changing and setting up the warp, but it also results in more muted fabric shades. At AyurSatwa, we take a different approach. We weave our fabrics with dyed threads for both the warp and the weft. Though this means more labor is required for each color, the result is bright, vibrant shades of plant dyes with even coloring across the fabric. Not only does this enhance the fabric's beauty, but it also infuses every square inch with more healing power. Our dedication to using colored threads in the warp ensures that each batch of fabric is unique and rich in both color and wellness. #WeavingArt #Ayurvastra #Handcrafted #TextileCraft #TraditionalCrafts #WarpAndWeft #handloom #handmade #healingtextiles #traditionalcrafts #plantdye #yarn #thread #drafting #denting #warp #weft #loom #Ayursatwa

Sometimes I like to take it back and sketch out some ideas before touching my iMac. In this exercise, I was looking for possible ways to express the product features, angles for a carpet washer (extractor) product. This had a built-in hand held tool for upholstery cleaning and stain removals. Bringing some dynamic and exaggerated angles inspired by Doc Oc (hint, hint), I was thrilled to explore how we can show the product along with hose in a cool manner for a PKG front. A few lifestyle sketches showcasing the hose attachment for further exploration. #art, #color#, #pencil, #marker, #packagedesign, #creativefun
