Beginning a disciplined practice on painting and resin allows me to create depth, dimension, and glossy reflections on the surface in "Cheska's Secrets." It was the product of my quarantine in 2020, helping me strengthen my talent in sculpture and subsequently develop my collection 'Looking for Signal Inside Yourself.' My art explores various techniques and integrates diverse materials, showcasing proficiency across multiple mediums. Join me on this artistic journey where every stroke reveals secrets and prompts contemplation on the challenges in my life. It's a humorous way for me to express myself using comics and fictional characters. https://lnkd.in/eVREGejG

Steven Schmid 🇧🇸 is redefining what it means to embrace masculinity and identity through his interdisciplinary art. His work, a fusion of collage, painting, and drawing, delves into nostalgia, otherness, and the complexities of being. Schmid's vision of paradise is one of vulnerability and celebration, where he can unapologetically nurture his 'beautifully faulty and contradictory self.' His art challenges societal norms, echoing bell hooks' call for an anti-patriarchal world where men are valued simply for being, not for what they achieve. Irish-born British painter Francis Bacon is one of the most successful 20th century painters. A self-taught artist, Bacon explored different aesthetics but very quickly, he found his unique style as we know it today – distorted figures that shed light on the human nature. Francis Bacon’s artistic vision was heavily influenced by personal loss, traumatic life experiences including homophobia, abuse and the atrocities of the two World Wars. He also found inspiration in the works of Masters of painting such as Vincent van Gogh and Diego Velázquez. Renowned for his innovations in portraiture and figuration, many of the subjects in Bacon’s works convey a sense of torment and despair, a theme that continues to attract buyers today. In this post, we invite you to explore the different artistic periods that mark the artist’s career. Follow us to find out more Francis Bacon’s works and his market. In the realm of artistic expression, black paintings stand as testaments to creativity and introspection. This month we are highlighting the works of 6 artists who have harnessed the power of black to challenge perceptions and evoke profound emotions. Ad Reinhardt's (1913–1967) Black Paintings series epitomizes the culmination of Modernism. With meticulous precision, Reinhardt employed subtle tonal shifts within monochromatic canvases to challenge viewers' perceptions. Rejecting symbolism, he sought purity in form, famously declaring, "Black is interesting not as a color but as a non-color." Reinhardt's legacy endures through his philosophical rigor and uncompromising commitment to abstraction. #AdReinhardt #BlackPaintings #AbstractExpressionist #Modernism #AbstractArt #Monochrome #PureAbstraction #ArtisticLegacy #ChallengingPerceptions #ModernArt #InternationalArtAcquisitions #Art #FineArt #Artwork #InvestmentArt
