What pushes trainers to pack up their clients and bolt for greener pastures? Outside the gym, there are the uncontrollables. But in the gym, where you and I have control, the factors are universal: 🤷 poor communication & leadership 🥵 unsustainable schedule 💔 lack of support 📈 limited growth 💸 low pay Once I realized I could influence these factors, I asked myself: 🤔 Am I truly protecting my team? Deep down, our teams want time with us. Think of it as relational equity: Caring about them in all areas of life, not just training more clients. In essence, our teams are our brands, truly our greatest asset and most influential client. They’re making the magic happen as long as their needs are met first. So ask yourself… Do I know them individually? Do I challenge them intrinsically? As real as it gets 😎 Dive deep into one of my lifting/carrying training sessions outdoors, only using a heavy rock, my favorite. Don’t overcomplicate your training, just find a space you feel inspiring to express yourself. This is YOUR fitness, so build it the way YOU want. Longevity and consistency in training comes from a healthy balance of discipline and gratification. Make it fun, but make it also challenging while exposing yourself to the elements of nature as much as you can (barefoot; sunshine; wind; rain; nature sounds; etc). 🔴 My speciality when coaching my students is to ADAPT to whatever circumstances to adjust their training sessions and maximize the gains, both in skills and conditioning. I see the path based on the first movements done and what the environment proposed us at that time. That makes every training session unique by design.
