Does it really work?? To screen or not to screen before bed? That is the question. Disconnecting from screens before bedtime can greatly improve your sleep quality. Here’s why it’s beneficial: ✔️ Reduces blue light exposure that disrupts sleep. ✔️ Helps your mind relax and unwind. ✔️ Promotes better sleep patterns and restfulness. Let’s help each other sleep better and feel more rested. P.S. Do you have a pre-bedtime digital detox routine?

Preaching to the choir! Totally notice a difference in my sleep quality when I avoid screens for at least an hour before bed.

This is such a juicy topic in the field of sleep at the moment, Kathy Van Benthuysen! We really need to pay attention to the CONTENT we’re consuming on screens close to bedtime. Anything that’s too stimulating can get our brains active before bed.

When I get on the screen at bedtime, the rabbit hole gets me. I can lose an hour without even thinking about it and the residual thoughts keep me awake at night. I'm a big proponent of turning it off.

We don’t bring phones into the bedroom. I do use a screen at night, but it’s my Kindle on dark mode. I noticed that when I switched from reading on an iPad or phone to reading on the kindle, I was 1. Less strained and 2. Asleep in about one page. Prior to bedtime, we could definitely do better with the disconnect!
