My first nuclear ☢️ position was right out of college in the DOE side as an analytical development chemist at the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge,TN. A few years later I was downsized and applied for a chemist position at a fossil power plant but found myself at a commercial nuke, TVA’s Browns Ferry, where I spent nearly 20 years in Operations, procedures, corrective action, and training. Now that my kids are grown I am exploring new opportunities!

Kathy Williams. I love this post as it is always so interesting to me to hear about others career journeys. I have a senior in high school, so it is something we have been talking about with friends and families with him to show him all the possibilities and twists and turns in careers. It has been so fascinating!
