Happy Valentine's Day Job Seekers! Here's some advice/reminders for the current market from someone in talent acquisition who does it for love... * You didn't deserve to be laid off. * Recruiters are looking for you! Make yourself easier to find by optimizing your LinkedIn profile and checking your messages/email/spam folders regularly. * Folks in talent acquisition love to connect. However, please don't ask us to help you (especially if we don't know you) without doing any research into the roles for which we're hiring RIGHT NOW. Be someone who does their homework. * Be kind, direct, and deliberate in your messaging to us. Randomly messaging me "Hi" with no context can be perceived in lots of ways - most of them negative. Just say why you're reaching out. * Love yourself. You are valuable. You are important. You can get through this. Don't give up. ❤️

You were the first recruiter I had ever spoken with in my career. I was nervous and didn't really know how the relationship worked. You were very supportive and great to work with through the process. I could tell you had my best interests in mind and that's why I still refer people to you. You're awesome.
