This past year Kawasaki sponsored a Senior Design project for the UNL College of Engineering Capstone Program. I had the priveledge to work with 5 UNL Mechanical Engineering students on their project to improve a welding process in our Lincoln factory. The team came up with two elegant design proposals to counteract welding distortion in a structural weldment. Congratulations to Nazariy, Casey, Ty, Peyton, and Garen on a successful project. I was very impressed with the team's work ethic througout the school year. The results of your investigation are promising and I hope to implement your ideas in future projects at Kawasaki. Also, your team did a fantastic job presenting your project to UNL faculty members! Well done!
