This June marks our 40th Anniversary 🎉 and we kicked off the celebration with a lunch in our LA office! Since our founding, we've been committed to providing quality and personalized investment and wealth management services to our clients. We are extremely grateful for our clients who have trusted us over the years—you have shaped KAR into what it stands for today.
Moreover, we are thankful for our KAR family, the driving force behind every milestone we've achieved. We honor our past and present employees and cannot wait for more #anniversaries to come!
Fun fact! 16% of our employees have been working at KAR for 20+ years.
Every year, I take off between XMAS and my birthday
These 3 weeks of freedom are one of my favorite things about how I have created my career.
I clear my calendar from calls so that I have no deadlines or obligations.
I let myself do whatever I want.
I move from XMAS to NYE to my BDAY in a high vibe.
I build up my desire to go back to work that I can’t wait to serve my clients.
But most importantly, this break gives me so much space to reflect on the year past and set intentions for the year ahead.
If you haven’t picked up on this yet, I’m really into visioning, innovation, and creating your best life 😉
While I do spend a lot of time adventuring, reading, relaxing, and being with my people, the true cornerstone of this vacation is having time to check in with myself, get super clear about what I want, and write it down.
Achieving this clarity pays huge dividends and helps me to move faster with confidence.
What is your favorite way to kick start the year and set your intentions? Let me know in the comments.

Life really is a journey for everyone.
Each person's path is distinct, marked by different challenges, opportunities, and relationships. This individuality is what makes life rich and varied, offering a tapestry of stories that highlight the diverse nature of human existence.
Being grateful for what we have is crucial in this journey because it fosters a positive mindset and helps us focus on the good aspects of our lives, no matter how small they may seem. Gratitude can also act as a buffer against life's inevitable difficulties, providing us with the resilience to cope with adversity.
When we express gratitude, we acknowledge that life, despite its ups and downs, offers us many gifts. This recognition can lead to greater contentment and fulfillment. It reminds us that our journey, while unique, is also interconnected with the journeys of others, creating a sense of community and shared human experience.
In essence, while life is an individual journey for everyone, gratitude serves as a universal connector, enriching our personal experiences and fostering a deeper appreciation for the world and people around us. It reminds us to cherish the present, value our individuality, and recognize the beauty in our unique paths.
A mom, or mother, is a female parent who typically plays a significant role in the upbringing and nurturing of her children. The responsibilities of a mom often include providing physical care, emotional support, and guidance to ensure the well-being and development of her children.
__________________________________________________________
The concept of motherhood varies widely across different cultures and societies, but universally, mothers are often seen as primary caregivers and central figures in family life. Their roles can encompass various aspects such as:
Physical Care: Ensuring the child is fed, clothed, and healthy.
Emotional Support: Providing love, comfort, and security.
Education: Teaching children social norms, values, and skills.
Guidance: Helping children navigate life's challenges and make decisions.
Motherhood is also a deeply personal and emotional experience, shaping the lives of both the mother and her children. The bond between a mother and her child is typically profound, influencing the child's development and the mother's sense of identity and fulfillment.
It’s hard to believe that a decade has passed since I first walked through the doors of Yatnam Technologies on July 10, 2014. When I joined a team of just 18 people in a company fresh out of its startup phase, I assumed it would be a short stint to brush up on my skills and move on, like many do in their careers. But here I am, 10 years later, still enthusiastic and engaged, thanks to a job that never let me get bored.
Opinions may vary on whether staying with one organization leads to a successful or stagnant career, but I can confidently say that the opportunities I’ve had and the connections I’ve made have made this journey worthwhile. I've witnessed Yatnam Technologies navigate through ups and downs, evolving efficiently during tough times. The growth I see in our organization today is nothing short of remarkable, and I’m proud to have spent nearly a third of my life being a part of it.
This job has not only supported me professionally but also allowed me to follow my passions and maintain a balanced life. I am profoundly grateful for the trust and support I’ve received from everyone along the way.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to:
- The board of directors for their unwavering trust in me.
- My clients across the globe for their collaborations and the shared joyous moments.
- My mentors and seniors for their invaluable guidance and friendship.
- My coworkers for being an incredible support system in achieving our goals.
- My professional friends for the happy moments we’ve shared.
- My family for their unwavering trust and support in my decisions.
- My friends for always being there for me.
Thank you to each and every one who has been a part of this journey. I know I’m being emotional, but this is what makes me happy and gives me purpose.
Thanking God Almighty for all the blessings—I will count them always.

Happy Pride Month Everyone! 🏳️🌈
I’d like to share a little insight as someone who is huge on DEI and who has a passion for creativity, empowering people and driving towards people feeling comfortable to be themselves - especially in a professional environment.
As you may have previously seen I shared a post about showing up to be seen - and nothing is more true for brand building and engagement in a successful team. 👀
However, there is a flip side to that for the business. Being seen for a lot of people is around an organisation making them feel encompassed in culture and like they truly belong - a sense of value and comfort to be themselves, if you will.
I’ve worked in organisations small and large and at least in my immediate team, I’ve always been very fortunate to express myself freely. However outside of that I have had instances where I’ve felt I’ve had to change how I act, speak or interact to not cause awkwardness or to ‘fit in’. Those are some of the most daunting experiences I have faced throughout my professional career.
I feel very lucky, not only this Pride, but my whole time at Sentrama that this has not been the case. As I embark on a time where my whole life feels like it has been changed - personally and professionally, this has been one of the biggest reliefs I could have had. Since the moment I joined the team every member of the team (within my function or not) made an effort to get to know me personally… not just my experience or how I would ‘fit in’. My interests have been heard, supported and empowered and the connections I have made very quickly are a testament to the Sentrama culture.
In my many years of experience working with different managers and leaders of business, one thing I’ve personally found? The most successful leaders are those that make people feel seen, celebrated, encouraged and empowered - that is more important than any tool that can streamline any process.
Why?
Simply because stressful days are part of every job. However, if you can build a team who are part of the journey and encouraged to innovate and be individual, you have a team who will go above and beyond despite what challenges they are faced with - that is a winning team.
Very simply: Thankyou Sentrama (acquired by myBrightside) for making me feel seen and valued in such a short period of time. I feel more enthusiastic than ever to move forward in starting my career here.
Excited for the pride celebrations, journey ahead and the relationships I continue to build as we grow. 🌟
Also a big thank you to my two biggest supporters Klaudia Kornega & Yana Jaff 🙋🏼♀️✨

Benthurst & Co & FVF launched the following question to brokers: '𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘯𝘰𝘯-𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴?' Our company scored 𝟯𝟮, resulting in second place. 💐
No small detail - the average score of the Belgian insurance market for this question is 7.
This week concludes my 1-year working anniversary at Aedes Group - an insurance company where innovation is key, and which, above all, has the courage to go in a different direction than traditional insurers. A company where working with an outdated mindset like dinosaurs is not allowed.
Contributing as an employee to our company's remarkable growth figures is very thrilling. 🎯
To all my insurance-related connections who as of today do not have an active partnership: I want to give you another push in the right direction. Take a leap into the unknown, and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of ... Aedes.
Because dinosaurs are outdated... 🦖
Tomorrow we say goodbye to a great guy. Wishing you great success in your new role and next step in your career Danny, you’ll be greatly missed by us all and grateful for all your support over the last couple of years. Thanks for everything mate 😉 🥂 🍾 🧢
Love this!
