ADNOC’s Offshore #SARB Field Commences AI-Enabled Digital Operations - SARB field achieves 25% production capacity increase by harnessing advanced digital solutions - ADNOC continues to leverage artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to safely and sustainably meet the world’s growing energy demands ADNOC announced today that its offshore Satah Al Razboot (SARB) field has achieved a 25% increase in production capacity through the implementation of industry-leading advanced digital technologies. The increase at SARB field, to a total of 140,000 barrels per day (bpd), supports ADNOC’s target to increase its production capacity to 5 million barrels of oil per day by 2027. Located 120 kilometers northwest of Abu Dhabi, the digital solutions implemented onsite at SARB allow the field to be operated remotely from Zirku island, 20km away. Remote monitoring, smart well operations and production management technologies are integrated at the remote control center for optimized real-time decision-making. This has enabled the accelerated growth in field capacity with reduced costs and emissions. UAE President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea, today witnessed the signing of a series of ADNOC agreements during a state visit to the Republic of Korea. This included the development of low-carbon ammonia value chains with our Korean counterparts. Alongside KNOC, GS Energy and Samsung E&A, we’ll explore the co-development of production and infrastructure in Abu Dhabi to supply the Korean market with low-carbon ammonia. ADNOC L&S has signed Letters of Intent with Samsung Heavy Industries and Hanwha Ocean to construct up to 10 newbuild LNG carriers, as we continue to invest in our lower-carbon LNG portfolio to meet rising global demand. Additionally, we signed an MoU with Hyosung to explore collaboration opportunities, including across the LPG value chain, such as logistics and supply. #EnergyForLife

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has inked an agreement to transfer a stake in two fields at a concession off the coast of the UAE to the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). This represents the Azerbaijani player’s first international upstream investment foray. SOCAR secured a 3% participating interest in the SARB and Umm Lulu offshore concession, expanding the duo’s collaboration across the energy value chain and building upon the strategic energy partnership between the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan. According to ADNOC, SARB and Umm Lulu deploy digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for remote monitoring, smart well operations, and production management to optimize the production efficiency, reduce emissions, enhance safety, and increase production capacity. The two fields use intelligent well surveillance (IWS) technology to operate wells at an optimum rate to drive operational efficiency.
