CEO @ Pillar Training Institute | Firearms and Tactics training I SME Law Enforcement Use of Force and Gangs
See what other law enforcement agencies are saying about Contact Threat Mitigation.....Assaults on LEO's are high and continue to climb. Approximately 45 to 50K officers are assaulted each year (FBI UCR) with approximately half being assaulted with knives, guns or other dangerous weapons while searching and or placing the suspect under arrest. This course changes the mindset of moving backwards away from the threat and instead meeting force with force during these contact distance threats. #safariland #training #trainingcourses #pillartraining #useofforce #police #policetraining #viktoslife #lawenforcement #lawenforcementtraining #lawenforcementofficer #policechief #sheriff

NJOHSP encourages law enforcement, first responders, and private- and public-sector partners to report potential threats and suspicious activity related to terrorism or other criminal activity. The “See Something, Say Something” campaign benefits families, friends, and neighbors by bringing suspicious behavior to the attention of law enforcement. Reporting suspicious behavior could potentially stop the next terrorist incident. Even if you think your observation is not important, it may be a piece of a larger puzzle. Today we received hard copy posters to display at American Dream and spread awareness for this important mission. We must never let our guard down. Please stay vigilant for everyone's safety. https://lnkd.in/eP5Ni9vS

Crime scenes are complex. Not being able to gather all the necessary information due to limitation of time, investigators, and technology - then leaving the site with incomplete information - stagnates the goal of delivering justice. Especially with collision and crime scenes. You need to ensure that #evidence is gathered quickly and accurately, and reports are clear, accurate, and comprehensive. The proper preservation of physical #evidence without contamination or mishandling is made easier with a handheld scanner. Watch as even the minutest details can be captured and combined with larger scans to provide a comprehensive picture of the entire scene in a fraction of the time that manual processes take. Over half of all criminal investigations in Europe require access to evidence beyond national borders. The majority of organized crime groups rely on networks and supply chains outside of Europe. We need global solutions to tackle global threats There is no way that any national police agency can keep track and keep pace alone. We need to share intelligence and best practices. These are the issues we’ll be discussing at our European Regional Conference this week https://lnkd.in/eRtnbFXx

Many police practices and principles overlap with private security. How far should police allow a violent person to dictate their actions? The answer is complex and complicated, to say the least. I have a few questions for future discussion from the latest video released by LAPD: 1. Are there dangers with too much de-escalation? 2. Does the general public hold an uninformed understanding about the effectiveness of “non lethal” minutions? 3. Can these videos be utilized to strengthen trust between police and the community they serve? 4. What can both the private security industry and the consumers of private security services take away from this video? All great questions. #nonlethal #police #privatesecurity #parallels #discussion

we need a more up to time process for gathering evidence in foreign jurisdictions, sharing it and using it. oftentimes victim is in one country, evidence in another or in a cloud (somewhere) and suspects in another. we need a better and more streamlined process for deciding where to prosecute too. sometimes, it may be easier to bring the victim and witness to the suspects country and prosecute there - is it always necessary to extradite the suspect ?

The Criminal Decision Making Process. these are the questions criminals ask themselves when casing out or probing your home to victimize. If you can turn these questions into doubts, then your home will effectively be safe against invasion and burglary! #lethallifestyle #jmtraining #joemalone #lethalu #thelethalityuniversity
