As Downtown San Diego’s evolution into a central connectivity district (a place designed for people and businesses to connect to each other) continues, we know that mixed-use projects will play an important role in the makeup of our urban communities. That’s why we are excited to see this announcement about the residential housing investment Stockdale Capital Partners, LLC is adding to The Campus at Horton’s transformation. Not only is additional housing needed locally, but it will be a great accompaniment and activation to the already planned mix of uses and tenants on-site and throughout Downtown. We know from downtowns across the country that housing contributes to resiliency in critical ways like protecting retail investments, bringing activity to parks and plazas, supporting jobs closer to homes, and adding to the street vibrancy, among others. And this investment will continue to complement the other mixed-use projects headed to the market, such as RaDD (IQHQ) and WEST (Holland Partner Group, North America Sekisui House, LLC , Lowe).
