A happy early celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 yesterday, spent with a positive group of women in tech, hosted by Taggstar. In the frame are CEOs, sales, marketing, development, customer success, HR & business development. Great fun and great 🍣 sushi.
Fact: Diverse businesses outperform. Also a fact: The tech industry is struggling. Only 3% of females say a tech career is their first choice. Only 5% of tech leaders are women (PwC study).
Continue to keep pushing - and promoting - your daughters, sisters, friends, partners. A great industry is missing out.

Despite progress toward closing the gap in representation and wages, women are still underrepresented and underpaid at tech companies, making up under 30% of the tech workforce, especially in leadership positions.
CNBC-TV18 spoke with several global tech giants to find out how they are ensuring women and non-binary employees have the opportunities and resources to do much more than meet a quota - to excel and have the career they envision.
At Fiserv, the Women's Impact Network (WIN) Employee Resource Group drives equity by empowering and advancing the careers for women with networking, mentorship, career development, workshops, and more. WIN is dedicated to improving the representation of women in leadership positions and giving them the tools to succeed.
Women have historically been disadvantaged, far beyond tech alone, and while some countries and global companies have made strides in diversity, equity, and inclusion across the board, from the top-down, there is still much more work to be done. It starts with all of us.

The impact of company culture on a woman’s career trajectory is SIGNIFICANT!
When organizations effectively empower women in tech, you see them rise. But this appears to be more of the exception rather than the norm.
We aim to change that with an in-depth discussion and Q&A this Thursday evening at the ARA Mentors and Echo Global Logistics’ Fall Event.
Together, we’re hosting an amazing lineup of guest panelists — from tech executives and HR professionals to diversity and inclusion advocates — ready to tackle a topic many women in tech are all too familiar with: the need for an inclusive culture that champions women's career advancement.
These experts will focus on:
💠 The current state of gender diversity in tech and leadership roles.
💠 Strategies for creating an inclusive environment that promotes retention and advancement.
💠 Success stories and lessons learned from organizations that have effectively empowered women in tech.
💠 The role of leadership in driving cultural change.
“Empowering Every Voice: Building Inclusive Cultures that Propel Women in Tech” is the panel discussion you don’t want to miss!
We hope to see you there!

Today, on International Women's Day, we celebrate the incredible progress of women in the tech industry so far 🌟.
💻 Women now constitute about 35% of the tech workforce, a significant leap from the 9% in the early 2000s.
🌍 In Europe, 1.7 million women drive the tech sector, making up 19.1% of the ICT labour force.
💪 Globally, women represent around 34.4% of the workforce in tech giants like Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, and Google.
🌐 Despite progress, a lack of visible female role models remains a significant hurdle for women considering tech careers.
At Enlitia, we proudly contribute to this shift by having, currently, 8 women as part of our team, with a remarkable presence in management roles, driving innovation and leading by example.
Let's persist in shaping a future where diversity and inclusion are integral elements of our tech landscape. 💫 🚀

In recent years, the technology sector has made significant strides towards diversity and inclusion. While International Women’s Day on March 8th serves as a poignant reminder of the invaluable contributions of women in tech, our celebration and admiration for these trailblazers extend far beyond a single day.
At Tacit Edge, we are inspired by the women in our tech ecosystem every day of the year! ❤️
Throughout history, women have played instrumental roles in shaping the technological landscape, yet their contributions have often been overlooked or undervalued. Today, we recognize and celebrate the diverse talents, expertise, and leadership that women bring to the tech industry.
In our tech ecosystem, we are privileged to work alongside remarkable women who continually push boundaries, challenge norms, and drive innovation. From software engineers and data scientists to Product Managers and UX designers, these women are making waves and leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
One aspect that sets our tech community apart is its commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of how you present, feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. We believe that diversity fuels creativity, drives innovation, and leads to better outcomes for all.
As advocates for equality and diversity in tech, we are dedicated to amplifying the voices of women, advocating for equal opportunities, and providing mentorship and support to help women advance in their careers.
Beyond our organization, we are inspired by the countless women-led startups, tech communities, and organizations that are driving positive change and shaping the future of technology. Those communities are where we convene to have hard conversations on how we self-fund in an environment in which the problems our companies solve are not the problems of men, and as such we are not top of the list for investment. But we know what we do has value, so we stay gritty and thrive outside conventional models sharing ideas and our networks.
While it’s important to celebrate women in tech on International Women’s Day, we believe that our admiration and support for their contributions should not be confined to a single day. Every day, we are inspired by the resilience, creativity, and brilliance of the women in our community, and we remain committed to championing their success year-round.
xoxo

💡 Women in Tech: Breaking Barriers and Changing the Narrative 💡
As women in the tech industry, we often face unique challenges—whether it’s being the only woman in the room, battling imposter syndrome or feeling the pressure to prove ourselves constantly. Yet, despite these obstacles, women are driving innovation and making incredible strides in this field. 🙌🏽
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt in my journey is that we belong in this industry, and our contributions are invaluable. 💪🏽
Here’s how we can continue to create a stronger presence:
1. Support and Lift Each Other Up: Whether it’s through mentorship, sharing opportunities or celebrating achievements, we can create a supportive community that empowers more women to thrive.
2. Be Vocal About Your Achievements: Don’t downplay your successes. Own your skills and accomplishments—you’ve earned them!
3. Challenge Stereotypes and Bias: By showing up authentically and pushing for inclusion, we can redefine what leadership and technical expertise look like.
I’m passionate about creating a more inclusive environment in tech where every woman feels valued and supported. Let’s connect, share our experiences, and continue to break barriers together!
To the women reading this: What’s been your biggest challenge in tech, and how did you overcome it? Let’s open up the conversation and support one another. 💬✨
