A few ideas from me = 1] Anti-List 2] Drawer 3] Atomic Habit 1] Anti-List Instead of a gratitude jar, you can have an anti-gratitude jar. Think of all the bad things that have happened but you have got through them. You have learned so much and have been transformed by adversity. This may be even more powerful than gratitude because the human brain tends to remember bad things more than good things. Why? Because bad things are threats. Hence, an anti-list is so powerful because you have the benefit of history. Your past has shown that you possess the fortitude to overcome your obstacles. I call these moments the bad-good times, or the good-bad times. 2] Drawer Instead of a jar, one can try putting these notes in a drawer. I don't know about you Jay, but where am I going to get a jar? At a jar shop? I think they are all closed now, but some might be ajar ! At any moment, you can open your drawer of amazing notes. This gives you a chance to reflect upon the good things that have happened. 3] Atomic Habit = Start small You can try this idea just for January. If you like it, try it again for February. Start by testing it out for just a week or a month. If the habit is fun and fulfiling and meaningful , then you may want to maintain it. But start out small.
