3 things I hate to see from a new AE hire: 👇 ➡ They don't get on the phone after week 1. You have to jump straight in the deep end. No fear. ➡ They have no process. Don’t care what it is at this stage, but you to have something that works for you. ➡ They don't actively seek out learning scenarios like role plays, and calls to shadow. You have to find ways to learn fast. Those 3 things are a great early sign that the rep is or isn't going to be successful.

Pro tip: You will get beat out by other candidates for roles, but don’t let it get you down. Getting 2nd place can sting more than no feedback at all, but just keep your head up and focus on the next role. OR… Find out who it is that beat you out. Trap them inside their house and cut all connections to the outside world until their start date. The day after the no-call no-show, go in and let them know that you can start IMMEDIATELY. Who’s 2nd place now!?

Ninon Laforce from Enable just posted for a Senior Product Manager II opening on their team. Are you tired of not getting product manager interviews, then schedule a call with us to see if we can fit you into one of our coaching sessions as a guest. We are also applying together as a group 3x a day at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 8 PM EST with more slots to come. Applying by yourself is brutal folks, because you get 0 positive reinforcement from your effort which creates more procrastination. Schedule a call with us here. https://lnkd.in/gQW7756g PS Let’s land this job by Halloween. You are only 1 application and 1 interview away from your next job. https://lnkd.in/gQW7756g #ProductManagement #WhatBadEconomy #GameHasBeenElevated #EverybodyIsOutOnTheTake

The first job I ever had coming out of school was as a PMM. What was the first thing I was asked to do? Conduct win-loss interviews. At first it seemed like a chore. Trying to engage with buyers, specifically the ones that decided not to go with us, was very hard and felt defeating. (That’s why I never had what it took to be in sales 😁) But when I did make a connection, the quality of intel I was able to get from just a single conversation was wildly valuable and made it all worth it. - Who did we lose to and why? - How was their sales experience? - What value did they expect to see/realize? - What did they like/dislike about our product? Were there any gaps? - How did they feel about our pricing model? Now take that one interview and multiple it by 5, 10, even 20. Just think of the trends you’re quickly able to find and leverage to make your business that much better. Needless to say, nothing will ever compare to intel you get directly from your buyers. If you’re interested in setting up or scaling a win-loss program, would love to chat with you about it.

Co-Founder and Product Lead 💗 Kickboxing 🥊 Sushi 🍣 Sunshine 🌻 Helping tech people make more meaningful connections
To get my Product Manager role back in 2021, I DM'd the hiring manager. Instant interview! In 2021, I applied to 50 jobs in a month, a mix of referrals and cold applies. Guess where I got interviews the most? The ones from referrals. Yet, the role I landed was through a cold application + networking to get my application noticed. 85% of Hiring is timing, so get noticed, be first, increases your odds overall. Message me 'Mentor' how to automate your networking, get first in the door.

Another member in the program just secured a $200K product manager offer and it was only 3 days ago when she had an offer for $170K that she didn’t really care for. This is why I am always pushing for multiple offers which comes from multiple interviews. She was telling me, “Rich you were right when companies learn that you have another offer they expedite the process AND draft a better offer.” 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 Companies are really afraid of hiring the wrong candidate or an average candidate. Companies dread hiring the product manager nobody wants or the product manager anybody can hire. Companies want to hire the product manager other companies want to hire because that is the biggest differentiator in the market place. See you in Skool for more tips. https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH PS Please reshare for your network #productmanagement Don’t be late to Skool https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH

Applying for a role at Clio? A few things you need to know about our hiring process and what to expect 👇 📧 Our in-house recruiting team 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 sends communications out using email addresses from Clio.com and occasionally through Workday, our applicant tracking system. 📲 Our recruitment process generally includes a phone screen with a recruiter, followed by scheduled interviews with the hiring manager hosted on Zoom. ⛔ The process may vary slightly depending on the role and department, but we do 𝐧𝐨𝐭 use any other third-party applications (i.e. Skype, Telegram, GroupMe) to communicate with applicants. Unfortunately, job scams are becoming increasingly common and we want to ensure anyone who is interested in building their career with Clio has the information they need to feel empowered. Take a read on Forbes and learn what to look out for when it comes to protecting yourself from job scams ➡ https://lnkd.in/gfA3rvzU

Don't let closed doors overshadow new beginnings Let's talk about something we all experience: closed doors. You know, those moments in our careers when things don't go as planned, when a job opportunity slips through our fingers, or a project doesn't pan out the way we hoped. It's tough, no doubt about it. But here's the thing: amidst those closed doors, there's always one that's cracking open, waiting for us to seize the opportunity. Too often, we get caught up in staring at the closed door, dwelling on what could have been or what went wrong. But while we're fixated on the past, we're missing out on the incredible potential of what lies ahead. There's a whole world of new possibilities, fresh beginnings, and exciting challenges waiting for us if we just shift our focus.
