Register online at MassBar.org/events or call 617-338-0530. When a lawsuit is filed, most parties assume they will end up in court to resolve their dispute. However, mediation is becoming an increasingly popular option to settle a wide variety of disputes. With its increase in use and popularity, it’s important to understand what mediation is, how it differs from court, and its potential benefits. Join the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section, Dispute Resolution Section and Young Lawyers Division, along with an esteemed panel of practitioners, mediators and judges, as they take a deeper dive into the finer points of mediation, including: • How mediation works • Selecting a mediator • Preparing for and participating in mediation • The hallmarks of a successful mediation • Mediation from a judge’s perspective • Becoming a mediator This program will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, to participate in this program. An email from MassBar Education will be sent before the program.
