In my opinion, three megatrends that are shaping the packaging landscape are: 𝐀. 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: With the effects of climate change, sustainability will continue to drive technological innovation and provide opportunities for collaboration. Increased consumer consciousness further highlights the need for eco-friendly products. Consumers are willing to pay more for packaging that doesn’t have a detrimental effect on the environment. Witnessing this change in consumer behavior, manufacturers are now designing recyclable or reusable products. The globally applied sustainability-driven regulations will play a key role in pushing the change towards eco-friendly products.
