Maximizing Your Practice Time I wanted to share a quick tip with you regarding how to make the most of your limited practice time. When you're short on time but still want to work on your game, I recommend heading to the driving range instead of playing on the course. The primary goal for most golfers is to improve their ability to execute shots, which is directly linked to enhancing their technique. On the course, during an 18-hole round, you might only hit around 35 full shots over the span of 4.5 hours. In contrast, at the driving range, you can hit 100 balls in just one hour. The driving range offers a more focused and efficient way to practice, allowing you to work on your technique and make adjustments with a higher volume of shots in a shorter amount of time. This concentrated practice can lead to quicker improvements and a more effective use of your valuable time. Of course, playing on the course is important for gaining experience and enjoying the game, but when time is limited, the driving range is your best bet for honing your skills. #GolfLessons #GolfCoach #ATXGolf #GolfPerformance #AustinTexas #GolfSwing #GolfFitness #GolfTraining #GolfImprovement #AustinGolf #GolfLovers #TexasGolf

🏌️♂️ Master Your Game, Find Your Balance 🏌️♂️ Did you know? Golf, like nature, is all about finding balance. Just like the Golden Ratio—the secret to symmetry in design—your golf swing relies on precision, timing, and the right setup to achieve the perfect shot. From the grip on your club to the angle of your swing, every element plays a role in shaping your success on the course. But even the most balanced swing needs the right tool to perform. A well-chosen golf ball can enhance your control, distance, and consistency, helping you master your game. Next time you tee up, think about your setup, your focus, and your gear. It all comes together, just like in the Golden Ratio. Balance is achieved when you are feeling and playing your best. Your equipment is working right and you are one with the course. Golf is a very popular sport in the world, a game played on a large outdoor course the object being to drive forward a small hard ball into a series of holes with a few strokes using a variety of wood or iron-tipped sticks. I do like to be a professional golfer unlike so many team sports, golf is personal. Most of the time you play by yourself to try and beat your previous record. It makes it a lot of fun to work hard and try to do better than the previous game you played. So many people say Golf is a very hard sport. Is that true? For me, I will say NO. If you are not concentrating you can't play because you will be practicing swings, blocking out the sound of a crowd achieving the perfect put to get your ball in the hole. It all takes deep concentration. Remember my article on visualization. Yes? If yes that's where visualization comes in like... 1. standing still and quiet 2. imaging where your ball needs to go(Deep concentration) Conclusion-GOLF REQUIRES THE SKILL OF VISUALIZATION.

🔑 Swing Hard vs. Swing Fast: What's the Key to Better Golf? Many golfers think that swinging harder means hitting the ball farther. But here's the truth: swinging hard often leads to poor contact, a loss of control, and inconsistency. The real secret lies in swinging fast—but with the right technique. 🏌️♂️ Swing Hard = Strain and inefficiency, often resulting in lower accuracy and distance. ⚡ Swing Fast = Maximizing clubhead speed while maintaining control, balance, and precision. At Conaway Golf Performance, we use cutting-edge technology like force plates and 3D body mapping to analyze your unique swing and help you generate speed where it counts—leading to longer, more consistent drives without the need for extra effort. And we get really excited when you succeed! 🎯 The key to better performance? Focus on speed, not force. If you're ready to unlock your full potential, start with our New Student Assessment. Discover how you can swing faster and more efficiently, while lowering your scores. #GolfPerformance #SwingSpeed #GolfTraining #EfficiencyInMotion #ConawayGolf #GolfCoaching #GolfTips #LinkedInGolf

Stepping onto a fresh course, the tee box debate inevitably arises. But, let's toss handicap discussions aside for a moment. Here's the real scoop on selecting your launch pad 🏌️♂️. There you are, arriving at your friend's course, and bam—the tee box choice becomes the hot topic. We have all been there. So, how do you nail down the perfect tees for you and your crew? The goal is to ensure everyone's having a blast and experiencing the course as its creators intended. A day on the links can quickly go south with daunting 200-yard approaches on par 4s or tees so distant you can't even make the fairway. Opting for the right tees not only spices up the game but also keeps the flow smooth for all players involved. Now, for the golden question: Which tee box is for you? My go-to strategy is the "rule of 36." Simply take your 5-iron's average carry distance, multiply by 36, and voilà—you've got your course yardage. This method shines because it's a breeze to track with today's golf GPS tech, giving you solid insight into your approach game. And here's a fun twist: United States Golf Association (USGA) #TeeItForward, some of the most enjoyable rounds I've played were from the forward tees. Or mix things up by switching tees at each hole for a bit of variety. Dive into the comments for a comprehensive guide on finding your ideal course yardage. Let's keep those drives straight and the vibes high. Hit’em Straight! #golflife #golf #lovegolf

⛳️ DRILL OF THE WEEK ⛳️ - The Ladder Drill Do you struggle with controlling your carrying distances with chipping? 🤔 The Ladder Drill is for you.👇🏻 The drill concept is find a hitting station on the fringe of your practise chipping green to start from. Next place down 5 (short ladder) to 10 (long ladder) alignment sticks or golf clubs which are 1 x pace width apart (1m) in the shape of a ladder ideally between the your hitting station & a hole. The goal is to try to chip a ball from the hitting station over the 1st step (alignment stick) landing in-between the 1st two alignment sticks. If successful proceed to hit past the 2nd step & so on until you complete all of the ladders steps. You can also randomise which step you want to start on if you need to work on a particular carry length as another option as well. The drill will help golfers who struggle to visualise the land point of a chip & also help golfers who struggle with their carry distances by helping them to build more awareness of their length of swing + swing tempo & relate those principles to a particular carry length to build more consistency in their short game. If you LIKED this video & you want to get more detail or information then please go to my YouTube page & watch the full video. Otherwise please send me a DM if you have an enquiry about the clip.
