Coffee isn’t just my favorite drink, my daily fuel, or how I recharge after a workout, during a video call, or after a meal. For me, coffee is a gateway for connection. It has brought me closer to incredible people, like those in this photo, and to organizations made up of individuals who don’t just rely on coffee to make a living—they use it to secure a brighter future for generations to come. Coffee is more than a delicious beverage; it’s a powerful vehicle for progress. Through coffee, we transmit development, health, education, and—most importantly—we care for the environment when we honor our ancestral farming techniques 🌍🌿. I am deeply grateful to my entire coffee family—farmers, producers, financiers, traders, buyers, certified agencies, and innovators—who work tirelessly to ensure that every cup tells a story of resilience, community, and hope. Let’s celebrate today with a cup of coffee that not only energizes us but connects us to a global movement of sustainable, conscious growth. Happy International Coffee Day! Let’s all raise a cup to the future! ☕❤️🌎 #InternationalCoffeeDay #SustainableCoffee #CoffeeLovers #Agriculture #ImpactInvestment #FairTrade #EnvironmentallyFriendly #ClimateAction #CoffeeCulture #SupportLocalFarmers #ConsciousConsumerism #GreenFinance #OrganicCoffee #CoffeeCommunity #RegenerativeAgriculture #CoffeeLife #SocialImpact #EcoFriendly #CoffeeIsLife #RuralDevelopment #Sustainability #EthicalBusiness #ZeroDeforestation #Biodiversity #FarmToCup #WomenInCoffee #CoffeeFarmers #NatureBasedSolutions #GreenEconomy #LatamAgriculture #HealthyPlanet

The Future of Food is Local and Sustainable In today's rapidly evolving world, the food industry is undergoing a transformation. Consumers are becoming more conscious of where their food comes from and how it's produced. This shift is driving a movement towards local, sustainable, and ethically sourced food. Supporting smaller private farmers and embracing farm-to-table delivery services not only ensures fresher, healthier produce but also strengthens local economies and reduces our carbon footprint. It's about creating a food system that is resilient, transparent, and equitable for all. As we move forward, it's crucial for businesses and consumers alike to prioritize sustainability in their choices. Together, we can foster a food industry that nourishes both people and the planet. It is my honor to assist families daily with a better, more sustainable way to shop for and feed their families. #Sustainability #FoodIndustry #FarmToTable #LocalFarms #EthicalEating #FutureOfFood #ellsworthfoods #farmtotable

Sustainable food is at the heart of a sustainable future. When food is produced and consumed in tune with the changing seasons, it effectively puts us in tune with nature. It is one of the most tangible ways to make the most of nature’s bounty and contribute to a more sustainable world. We had such an engaged group at foodwize Pop-Up with a Purpose a few days ago. It was a celebration of this season - ethically grown produce, thoughtfully crafted recipes by Priya Bala and a critical conversation about our ability to make a difference through the medium of food. If you and your organisation care about being sustainable and regenerative, bring food to your agenda. It doesn’t matter what your business is. After all, we all eat. A high proportion of the world’s population is under the age of 30. As a collective force, young people have extraordinary potential to MOBILISE and INFLUENCE global movements, which can be initiated in the form of a simple pledge! Act4Food, a global youth-led movement, was launched to transform food systems, with a pledge to encourage millions of young people to create sustainable food systems and more opportunistically to get involved in the UNFSS and to bring their demands to the decision-making table. What’s been the impact so far? Find out: https://lnkd.in/gFNk-cBT

Should the government tell us what to eat? 🧐 Denmark was looking for ways to get people to eat less meat. 🥓 Their idea? The world's first government strategy to drive uptake of plant-based foods 🙌 And you know what? There are no bans. No restrictions. No taxes. It's all positive action to encourage healthier and more sustainable diets in a country where people eat 3X the recommended amount of meat on average. 🥒 Things like: • Flexitarian cooking courses • Plant-based nudges in office canteens • Young food guides at Roskilde (Denmark's answer to Glastonbury) It's the kind of positive, practical, realistic, inclusive approach that we take to inspiring sustainable diets at Hubbub. Experts agree we need to reduce our meat intake. The UK's own Food Strategy recommended a 30% decrease by 2030. There should be lots to learn from Denmark. I wonder if our next government will be so bold? Read more via Bloomberg: https://lnkd.in/eFXZhFyg Image: via Shutterstock. (No, I don't know why someone made it either but I am glad they did..) ++ P.S. I'm CEO of environmental charity Hubbub. Sustainability Tip 219: Share Excess Produce with Your Neighbours Got a bumper crop of tomatoes or zucchinis? 🌱🍅 Instead of letting them go to waste, pass them on to your neighbours! Not only does this reduce food waste, but it also fosters community spirit and spreads the love of homegrown goodness. Plus, who doesn't enjoy a surprise veggie delivery? 😄🌻 #Net-Positivity #Sustainability
