I literally couldn't be prouder of the team who, after a brief to create some internal training on the correct way to fit a harness on a dog, came up with this masterpiece. As you can see it was far too good not to share with our team and customers alike! Hannah Muirhead and Scarlett Betts put together the exceptional production which, I believe, perfectly captures and demonstrates our authenticity as a business and our genuine care for animals. I'm a big champion of collaboration and that's because a mixture of people can have ideas that you’ve never even thought of. Also, when working together in that way, it's likely that they will think of ideas they would have never even thought of without each other. In an environment where the team feels supported and encouraged to input, they will be far more imaginative, inventive and supportive towards the overall goal. In an ever changing world innovation is the only way to keep up. For us, as an employee owned business, promoting creativity and autonomy for our team, it is absolutely vital. If employees can actively see their work is making a difference, they’re able to share in the successes and work with you to think of more ways to improve, it’s only natural that they’ll care more too. Owner or not. Just like giving them a sense of purpose, giving them a vision that they can truly get involved in, is an amazing way to keep employees engaged and productive, which will inevitably see the entire company grow. In this example I couldn't have imagined what the team would have come up with but that's exactly why I wasn't needed on this task!
