As today marks the last day of the World breastfeeding week 2024, we need to talk about how we can really bridge the support gap in breastfeeding as the WBW'24 is themed 'Closing the gap - Breastfeeding Support for All'. How can we bridge the support gap to make sure that every nursing mother gets the support they need? A. By Educating and empowering the mothers themselves so as to be in the know as regards the benefits that breastfeeding offers. B. By making sure healthcare is accessible to all mothers to facilitate easy lactation and every other healthcare services. C. By implementing baby-friendly or breastfeeding-friendly policies so that mothers don't have to choose between their works or their infants D. Building family (e.g spouses, in-laws, e.t.c);and community support systems that would foster encouragement and practical help for the breastfeeding mother. Every mother deserves to breastfeed their infants and every child deserves the best start in life. Remember to always advocate for breastfeeding support, even after the World breastfeeding week 2024.📌 "Closing the gap - Breastfeeding support for all" #happyworldbreastfeedingweek #WBW #breastfeeeding #nursingmothers #nutrition #INAI

Happy Breastfeeding Week! Support Breastfeeding Mothers in these too ! Breastfeeding should continue for up to 2 years or beyond. Making a safe and secured environment for both the breastfeeding mother and the baby is necessary in the life of a Motherhood. Motherhood is not just rearing a baby, Motherhood holds all the emotions, challenges, and struggles throughout. Supporting them in these ways such as providing the safe environment for breastfeeding, flexible working hours for an employed mother, give them the privilege to choose things whenever needed among the families, and many more. These are some of the insecurities many mothers would be facing but not considered in the society. You can also comment down your points that need to be considered for breastfeeding mothers and Thank You for all who support breastfeeding mothers in their happy journey of motherhood.
