Did you know that student reflection is an awesome tool for formative assessment? 🌟 ✨ It helps students dive deep into their learning journey, connect the dots, and develop crucial metacognition skills. 📝🔍 When students reflect, they actively think about their learning experiences, bridging the gap between what they knew and what they've learned. 🤔📚 This self-evaluation process lets them keep track of their progress, spot their strengths, and uncover areas for improvement. They become champions of their own learning! 💪💯 🔥 In this FREE toolkit we unpack tools for you to implement in your classroom to enable your students to self-evaluate their learning. These can be used by your students regularly in your classroom to develop their mindset and skills, as well as help them move forward in their learning. Students can use self-evaluation to reflect on where they are in their learning, what they have discovered in a lesson or what they hope to work towards in the future. They are a powerful tool to use in your classroom to also make students accountable for their learning as well as give you real feedback on how they are going in your class. 🔗 Click here to get immediate access to your FREE Student Reflection Toolkit today! https://lnkd.in/geY23883

Ever wonder what it really takes to finally cultivate a safe, learning environment for you students? It’s actually pretty amazing. Over the years, I’ve worked so hard on making my classroom a place that students enjoy walking into each day. Students enter the room and know that their classroom is a place to be themselves, take some risks and learn. Is every day perfect? Nope. Because, let's face it, we can't control all aspects of how our students come to us each day. However... there are so many things you can do to make the best out of any tough situation. One tried and true strategy is to greet all my students, not at the doorway, but as they are coming in and settling down. I walk around and have small conversations with each one of them as they put their things in cubbies and get out their morning work. The purpose is for each student to start their day feeling seen and heard and then, we hit the ground running. This is just one tiny thing I talk about inside my FREE CLASS: How to Transform Your Classroom into a Place of Calm, Connection & Creativity Comment "CLASS" if you want to learn more behind the scenes of what creating a safe, learning environment looks like, and I'll get you the info that will transform your classroom.
