Sometimes, Small is Big, Even In Texas Everything is bigger in Texas – we heard this a lot. And generally, we agree. Not only Texas is the largest of the contiguous 48 states, it’s also the home of the world’s largest c-store: the Buc-ee’s Travel Center in New Braunfels. But even in Texas, they appreciate that sometimes the great things come in small packages. And so, the opening of the first Texas location of Atlanta, GA based Smalls Sliders, the industry-disrupting cheeseburger slider brand, is one of these great things. Smalls Sliders may be small in size, but they are great in taste. And the people of the Lone Star state appreciate great taste. That’s also a fact. I was saving my yearly LinkedIn post for my 3 year anniversary in a few weeks, but today’s launch of Brooklyn Storehouse is a far more exciting milestone (first iconic, stateside partnership- watch this space!). Joining Vibration Production in 2021 at the tail end of the pandemic seemed like a crazy risk to anyone looking in at the time (and many told me as much!). Having forged my career in the comfort of big international corporates, moving into event production, heading up a finance function and being tasked with a complete overhaul/creation/imbedding of all processes and a commercially driven team was a big move away from my comfort zone but little did I know, it was going to be much more than that original job description. Best. Move. Of. My. Life. What Broadwick has given/taught me: -Collaboration; not cold hearted competition. -Good Ideas are given a fighting chance. -No one worth knowing is going to take credit for your hard work. -No one is claiming to know it all or have all the answers. -Partners that share our vision fuel us, those that don’t get it, fuel us too! -You need the tiny details to form the bigger picture (always been my mantra but now reinforced daily!). -If you can’t be unapologetically yourself, you’re not in the right place. -Working with people that push and inspire you, will be your greatest education. -And so, so, so much more. Thank you for believing in me, trusting in me and holding me to the highest standard. If giving it your all, being highly adaptable and being fully invested isn’t for you, then Broadwick won’t be. Absolutely LOVE how 2024 is turning into the year of women’s sports. Here are just a few highlights thus far: 1. The Women’s March Madness Final Four game between Iowa and UConn had the largest audience of any basketball game in ESPN history. 2. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has 1,100 sponsorship deals, creating a 25% increase from previous years. 3. At the end of 2023, the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) secured a $240 million domestic TV sponsorship deal with CBS, ESPN, Amazon, and Scipps. This deal is 40 times larger than previous agreement. 4. According to financial analysts at Deloitte, elite women’s sports will generate $1.28 billion in 2024 - this is an increase of 300% from three years ago. 5. Selfish plug - Dallas is now going to have a professional women’s soccer team called Dallas Trinity FC and they will be playing in the Cotton Bowl Stadium!
