📢 New Data Alert! 📢 Title: New Data Show Highest Number of Health Center Patients in Nearly 60 Year History of the Program Published by: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Date: August 5, 2024 Key Points: Record High: Over 31 million patients served at HRSA-funded health centers in 2023. Significant Growth: Increase of 2.7 million patients since 2020. Focus on Access: Health centers serve all patients, regardless of ability to pay, with over 90% of patients having incomes less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Expanding Services: One in eight children, 9.7 million rural patients, 6.4 million public housing residents, and 1.4 million people experiencing homelessness served. Quality Care: More than 4 million HIV tests administered, 585,000 prenatal patients treated, and improved measures for hypertension control (+8%) and depression screening (+7%).
