🌟 "How can you say what you mean without being mean?" Whenever I’m asked what I look for in a company, my no-brainer answer is: I’m all about working in a respectful and collaborative environment. 🤝 What does this mean? It means being part of a team that celebrates individuality and lives by the “in it together” philosophy. A place where constructive feedback isn’t just welcomed, it’s normalized. 💬 One of my all-time favourite reads is “Radical Candor” by Kim Scott. While it’s geared towards people management, I believe it offers valuable insights for all professionals. 📚 Feedback can come from leaders, but also from various stakeholders in a project. Embracing the radical candor approach when giving or receiving feedback can truly be a game-changer. It creates an environment of trust, sparks innovation and promotes both personal growth and professional development. ✨ If you are not familiar with this concept, I highly recommend checking out Kim Scott’s TED talk - especially if you’re in a central role like PMMs, where relationship-building is key. You can thank me later! 😉 #RadicalCandor #ProfessionalGrowth #Teamwork #Leadership #PMM

Few people look forward to #difficultconversations. The problem is that most people go into them with a preconception of who is right and who is wrong. We often approach these dicussions with the intent of giving the other person a piece of our mind. But is that the most productive thing to do? We both know the answer to that! That's why we've taken one of our most popular live workshops at the Lowisz Leadership Institute and created a 15 module on-demand video course - and it live now! Master the art of turning difficult conversations into productive learning conversations, without using the dreaded "sandwich" method of feedback. 🌟 Introversion is one of my superpowers as a leader. 🌟 This video beautifully demonstrates why: https://lnkd.in/gterSfXd One way I harness this strength is by using questions and silence to create space for others to share their perspectives, especially during conflicts. Early in my career, working in customer service, I often found myself as the target of frustrated customers. My strategy? Ask questions, then listen intently until they express their frustration. I remember thinking, "Wait for the long pause. The pause that comes when you're all talked out." If you're facing a difficult conversation, consider this technique: 1. Move toward the conflict. 2. Ask questions. 3. Keep quiet. Then, wait for the magic to happen. #IntrovertedLeader #LeadershipSkills #ConflictResolution
