✨What is your definition of Internal Events , and why it’s integral for your DEI ? 🌟 According to the Gallup State of the Global Workplace Report, only 15% of employees worldwide are fully engaged in their jobs. 😱 This alarming statistic highlights the urgent need for organizations to find innovative ways to boost employee engagement and create a positive work culture. 🎊 Events play a significant role in fostering employee engagement and enhancing team dynamics. From team-building activities to recognition ceremonies, these gatherings provide a multitude of benefits that can transform your organization's success. Let's explore some of these benefits: 1️⃣ Improved Communication: Events provide a platform for open and transparent communication among team members. When employees come together in a relaxed setting, they are more likely to share ideas, collaborate, and build stronger relationships. 2️⃣ Increased Motivation: Events offer an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of individuals and teams. By acknowledging their hard work and dedication, you can boost morale, motivation, and create a positive work environment. 3️⃣ Enhanced Teamwork: Team-building events are a fantastic way to encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork. Engaging in group activities outside the regular work routine fosters trust and strengthens bonds between team members. 4️⃣ Personal Development: Events can also provide learning and growth opportunities for employees. Inviting industry experts to share their knowledge or organizing workshops can inspire individuals to develop new skills, improve performance, and contribute more effectively to the organization. 📚 Harvard Business Review's research further emphasizes the positive impact of events on employee engagement. They found that companies that invest in employee engagement initiatives, including events, outperform their competitors in terms of productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, it is evident that events are a powerful tool to enhance employee engagement and drive organizational success. What do your team events look like? Don’t underestimate the value of the small, intimate event. Here me out… As an experienced event planner, I've witnessed how impactful small, intimate gatherings can be on employee engagement and team dynamics. There's a certain magic that happens when you bring a tight-knit group together in an inspiring space, away from the usual office environment. In these more relaxed and personalized settings, conversations flow more freely, allowing for rich exchanges of ideas and deep connections among colleagues. Employees feel more at ease to share their thoughts, experiences, and creative insights, creating a sense of trust and camaraderie that can be difficult to achieve in larger, more formal settings. Moreover, these intimate gatherings provide an opportunity for employees to bond over shared interests and experiences, creating lasting memories that strengthen their sense of belonging and commitment to the organization. For corporate leaders looking to foster genuine engagement and build a strong company culture, incorporating small, well-crafted events into your employee engagement strategy can bring significant results. By providing your team members with opportunities to connect on a more personal level, you demonstrate your commitment to their well-being and professional development, while also cultivating a more collaborative and supportive work environment. Isn’t that more important than trying to create a big splash, when what you really create is a big headache for everyone involved? As you plan your next employee event, consider the power of intimacy and how it can help you achieve your goals of boosting morale, retention, and overall organizational success. The impact of these small gatherings can be truly transformative, resonating long after the event itself has ended. #EmployeeEngagement #CompanyCulture #TeamBuilding #Leadership #EventPlanning

DisruptHR Capital Region Speaker Application FAQ’s 1. I like speaking at events but what exactly is DisruptHR? DisruptHR is a creative idea forum designed to energize and empower executives, leaders, people in the HR field and anyone who is passionate about talent and creating a work environment where people thrive. Originated in Cincinnati in 2013, this movement is built on the belief that as the workplace changes, so should the ways in which we engage, motivate and influence our teams. Currently, there are over 144 cities around the world organizing DisruptHR events. Our vision for hosting in the Capital Region is to provide an opportunity for individuals who reimagine the future of work to have the ability to come together and share experiences and ideas. Having a better workplace impacts talent retention which will make companies in our region stronger thus contributing to the growth of our communities. 2. I am not in Human Resources. Can I still apply? Yes! Of course! We are not only trying to influence HR but all areas of a business/organization. Organizations don’t operate in a vacuum. Impacting one area can have a ripple effect on other areas. We encourage anyone with an idea to make the workplace better be the one to throw in the pebble! Create that ripple! 3. I have given presentations in the past. Is this the same type of format? No, it’s not. The format of all DisruptHR events are that each speaker has 5 minutes to share something innovative or disruptive about how to improve the workplace. They have 20 slides which auto-rotate every 15 seconds. They have to teach us something but make it quick. 4. So, do I speak to the slides? Nope. Think of it this way: you are telling a story and the slides, made up of mostly pictures, enhance that story. Will you get behind or be ahead of slides…perhaps at times…but people are there to listen to you. The slides are a supporting role. You are the main character. 5. Wait a minute, so are you saying I have no control over the slides? Yes, that is what I am saying. They will autoforward and you will talk. Remember, you are telling a story. You are the main character. The slides are supporting your content. 6. What makes an ideal topic for DisruptHR? We are looking for topics that either bring forth a new idea, takes an old idea and turns it on its head, or something that makes us go from “we can’t do that…” to “..or maybe we can…” 7. Ok, this all seems a bit scary but I’m in! Where do I apply? https://lnkd.in/d-GAksp 8. If I have any other questions, who do I contact? You can DM DisruptHR Capital Region on LinkedIn or contact Lynne Rittner at lynne@melovivere.com
