What is #reuserevolution… ✊ It's our mission to turn donating and buying second-hand furniture into a real movement. 💪We want to empower people to buy more second hand furniture and give furniture that may be being upgraded a chance for a second home. But why is this important? Why such passion about something that, on the face of it, doesn’t seem much?🤔 Because when you donate what is an old sofa to you, you give an opportunity for someone else to give it a new home. Buying at a really cost-effective price in our warehouse or through us giving it away via our provision funds, you give a child somewhere to sit rather than the floor, a person escaping domestic violence a chance to rebuild their life and a new home. It’s no secret working sustainably in construction on site is a challenge. Yet we always find a way to work around things, including the way we tackle our net zero pledge as a company. For example, there may be times when we have surplus timber on site. When this happens, we work with local charities in Eastbourne, The Shed, and the Local Allotment Society. We give them any surplus timber and pallets we have so they can be reused, repurposed or rehomed – cutting our waste and supporting others needing materials.
