In the Colosseum of Humanity: A Covenant for Life and Well-being Imagine us standing together in the center of the Colosseum, surrounded by people from all corners of the globe. This historic arena, once a stage for conflict, is today transformed into a symbol of unity and collective purpose. Our challenge is not against each other but against the inequalities and obstacles that threaten the fundamental right to life and well-being. Today, we stand shoulder to shoulder, convincing the Colosseum – our world – that only through collaboration can we craft a better future. Access to clean water and sufficient food, safe shelter, comprehensive healthcare, and quality education – these rights form the pillars of our civilization and should be inalienable for every human being. Yet, to turn this vision into reality, we need a global alliance that transcends borders, cultures, and differences. We call upon every member of the audience – every nation, community, and individual – to join this alliance. Let’s develop innovative solutions for water scarcity and hunger, ensure everyone has a roof over their head, invest in resilient health systems, and provide every child on this earth with access to education. As we stand in the spotlight of the Colosseum, let’s remember the strength found in unity. Our weapons are compassion, knowledge, and an unwavering belief in humanity. Our defense is the determination to work for the common good. What role do you see yourself playing in this arena? Are you a supporter, offering encouragement from the stands? A visionary, sketching out ideas for a better future? Or a pioneer, ready to step into the arena and actively work on implementing these principles? Let us walk out of this Colosseum, not as gladiators, but as ambassadors of hope. Every action, word, and thought can make a difference. Together, we can create a world where the right to life and well-being is not just an ideal but a lived reality for every person.

How do we as a society unleash the creativity and innovation of our diverse population? We are doing it on some levels - NSF, DARPA, XPRIZE, Thiel fellowship, MacArthur fellowship. Etc.. They're made to represent many things, such as clans, history, stories, memorials, and more, and can often take between 3 and 9 months to create! The original totem poles were created by only six nations of the western part of North America: The Haida, Nuxalt, Kwakwaka'wakw, Tlingit, Tsimshian, and Coast Salish.
