Let’s talk about Ground Reaction Force (GRF). The simplest way to define it is through Albert Eistein’s theory of relativity: “For every action there is a complete and opposite reaction”. How does this apply to your swing? When we swing, we apply force to the ground. This force is counteracted by the ground itself but the energy generated is not simply lost. Some part of it will be injected into the golf swing as club head speed directly results from the players’ body movements. The better the player utilises this ever-present energy throughout their swing, the simpler it becomes to generate more speed and higher smash factors without any additional effort. ⛳️📈🙌🏼 Based on this principle, the Swing Catalyst 3D Motion Plate measures GRF by the golfer, broken down in three dimensions: one vertical and two horizontal (right/left and toe/heel).
