In real estate, building a referral-based business is one of the most powerful ways to ensure sustainable growth. By delivering exceptional service, staying responsive, and exceeding client expectations, you naturally encourage positive word-of-mouth, which leads to high-quality referrals. The small, thoughtful touches like personalized messages, handwritten notes, and consistent follow-ups go a long way in creating memorable client experiences. Referral business isn't just about closing deals—it’s about creating long-term relationships. Regular check-ins and staying engaged with your client base show that you genuinely care, even after the transaction is complete. This fosters trust and keeps you top of mind when someone is ready to buy or sell. It’s the difference between a one-time transaction and being their go-to agent for life. Consistency is key. Following up with clients and asking for referrals after a positive experience keeps your pipeline active. Don’t be afraid to ask for referrals—it shows confidence in the service you provide. By leveraging both social media and personal connections, you create a robust network that will keep referring business back to you for years to come. #OYesProperties #OYesAcademy #RealEstate #ClientRelationships #ReferralBusiness #RealEstateTips #CustomerService #Networking #SuccessInRealEstate #GrowthMindset

Why I Ditched the Real Estate Scripts… When it comes to real estate scripts for prospecting, I’ve learned to hate them—and here’s why. While they’re often marketed as essential tools, especially for new agents, they tend to create more problems than they solve. The biggest issue I have with realtor scripts is that they encourage agents to focus on what they’re going to say next, often reading line by line. This mindset takes your attention away from the client on the other end of the phone. Instead of actively listening, you’re locked into your script, and that can cause you to miss key details that are essential for building a relationship. Once I ditched scripts, my conversations improved significantly. By focusing on what the client is saying, I’m able to retain more valuable information, which helps me nurture those relationships long-term. Instead of sticking to a pre-written real estate script, I just talk to people—naturally and authentically. The key? Listen more than you talk. When you make listening the priority in your prospecting calls, you’ll notice the difference. Not only will your conversations feel more genuine, but your ability to connect with potential clients will improve dramatically. If you’re struggling with scripts, my advice is simple: ditch them. Focus on authentic dialogue, and you’ll likely see better results. #realtor #realestateagent #realtortips #realtorlife
