This guy is making the tallest hotel in the world…😤 While the rest of the world is walking towards real estate development, #dubai is running 🏃♂️!!! The Ciel Tower, set to be the world’s tallest hotel at around 1,200 feet (365 meters), is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024. Designed by Yahya Jan president and design director of NORR Group this architectural marvel will feature over 1,000 rooms and suites across 82 floors, a rooftop swimming pool, and a glass observation deck offering 360-degree views of Dubai’s skyline and the iconic Palm Jumeirah. Yahya Jan’s journey is as inspiring as his designs. Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, he moved to the US at 18 on a scholarship, studying structural engineering at Princeton and earning a Master’s in architecture. After working in the US, he accepted a job in Dubai in 1996, and his work has since shaped the city’s skyline, including the Emirates Towers and the Atlantis Hotel. The Ciel Tower project is a true convergence of architecture and engineering, overcoming significant constraints such as a compact 2,500 square meter plot and achieving energy efficiency by using 25% less power for air conditioning than typical buildings. Jan’s dedication to this project reflects his passion for merging science with art, creating not just buildings, but landmarks. For project developers, investors, and architects, the Ciel Tower should represents the future of urban development. It’s an example of innovative space utilization, sustainability, and breathtaking design. I just hope Yahya and NOR group don’t overlook the soft values in their process and thats where we come in: https://lnkd.in/ekxeSrAu Let’s connect to discuss the potential of (groundbreaking) projects like this. #RealEstate #Development #Architecture #Investment #CielTower #Dubai #Innovation”

New details have been revealed on what is arguably Saudi Arabia's most ambitious current architecture project: the world's new tallest skyscraper, which will rise to an incredible height of over 1 km (0.62 miles) in the Red Sea port city Jeddah. First unveiled as the Kingdom Tower, the project went through a few names before settling on the Jeddah Economic Company Tower (or JEC Tower). It's designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, the former being most famous for designing the current world's tallest building, Dubai's Burj Khalifa, which reaches 828 m (2,716 ft). Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, who leads the project, has confirmed that the gigantic tower will reach a height of over 1 km (0.62 miles). However, he has also now said that its final height has not actually been decided and that it might even go taller. At a minimum then, this will put it at over twice the height of the Empire State Building, and almost twice the height of the USA's tallest skyscraper, the One World Trade Center. Work on this unprecedented project had stalled for several years but now that it's back underway, concrete is currently being poured on the 64th floor. The floors are expected to be concreted in four days each, meaning we should see significant progress in a relatively short time. The Saudi PRince also explained that currently the concrete can be pumped to a height of 800 m (2,624 ft), but that the firms involved are working on increasing this up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft). https://lnkd.in/deerK7qk https://lnkd.in/d6YMxxhV https://lnkd.in/dfwqw-Wg https://lnkd.in/djy-VXce #HighRise #Skyscraper #WorldsTallestTowerFacade #SaudiArabia #PIF #Architecture #Engineering #Construction #ProjectManagement #DesignManagement #VerticalTransportation #ConveyingSystems #FacadeEngineering #BuildingEnvelope #FireLifeSafety #FLS #FacadeCleaning #BuildingMaintenanceUnit #BMU #DevelopmentManagement #MasterDevelopment #UrbanPlanning #MasterPlanning

In construction, we place a lot of emphasis on building contemporary structures and cutting-edge developments. But what about preserving our heritage? 🤔 Not only does it honor our past, but it also provides valuable lessons that inform our future projects. This is evident with the recent approval of the second phase of Dubai's heritage architecture project. According to the Dubai Media Office, this initiative aims to protect 35 iconic sites and buildings from the 1960s to the 1990s. It's part of a larger initiative demonstrating the city's commitment to protecting and honoring its cultural and architectural heritage that help to tell the story of Dubai's past. From both a human and a PM perspective, I love this. By preserving heritage buildings, we gain unique insights into enduring construction techniques and materials that have stood the test of time. This type of knowledge is invaluable in modern construction, helping us to create innovative and resilient structures. When we integrate lessons from the past into our modern projects, we can build a future that respects and celebrates our rich heritage. #ProjectManagement #Construction #UAE

Dubai: Where Innovation Meets the Sky As I stood amidst these architectural marvels, a wave of inspiration washed over me. On my last visit to Dubai, I visited the Museum of the Future, and it’s rightly named because we can only imagine this type of architecture in the future. Dubai’s skyline, with its breathtaking buildings piercing the heavens, is a testament to human ingenuity and a bold vision of the future. What many don’t see is the intricate dance of hardware and engineering that makes these towering structures possible. In my journey as a builder’s hardware manufacturer, I’ve always been fascinated by the unsung heroes of construction: the hardware that makes these buildings a class apart. From the intricate steel frameworks to the precision engineering that goes into every component, hardware is the unsung hero behind these iconic buildings. I am proud to be part of a world where innovation knows no bounds. What strikes you most about Dubai's architecture? Let's discuss the future of building design and the role of hardware in shaping it. #Dubai #architecture #innovation #hardware #Vestal #building #VarunGarg

We designed a contemporary villa complex in Ajman that is in keeping with the local culture by incorporating modern architectural elements with traditional Emirati influences. Here are some of the key design principles and features that were taken into consideration: ➡ Arches : Integrate arches and domes into the architectural design to reflect traditional Islamic architecture while adding a touch of grandeur. ➡ Local Materials: Use locally sourced materials such as stone and wood to maintain harmony with the environment and reduce carbon footprint. ➡ Neutral and Earthy Tones: opt for a color palette that includes neutral and earthy tones, reflecting the desert landscape and traditional aesthetics. ➡ Privacy Considerations: Ensure designs respect cultural norms around privacy, particularly for women, by strategically placing windows and creating private outdoor spaces. ➡ Modular Design: Use modular design elements that can be customized to accommodate extended family living, a common practice in Emirati culture.

*fancy buildings, *Skyscrapers with expensive claddings, *Complex buildings with glass and concrete, *Nice and innovative landscapes, *Artificial islands, *Vegas-like, lights and fountains water show everywhere, etc… It is not a living-level architecture. Architecture is to address solutions for all buildings that are being used at all times and in all environmental conditions, but it seems like that has a different meaning in Dubai!!?? Giant firms (mostly Westerners) must now have a short vacation to Dubai to see what they have built up! and see what they have signed off as their legacy for the next generations!!?? As I partially know their taste, they never built such buildings where their headquarters are located due to the tough building regulations and government watchdogs.

At WACKER Middle East & Africa, we continue to work on creating sustainable and economical solutions with the Dubai Municipality. Together with Dubai Central Laboratories, we conducted a study comparing two model houses, one built with conventional materials and the other with our regional solutions for more sustainable housing. These include proper insulation using special silicone resin paints, external thermal insulation composite systems and special interior adhesives, as well as interior paints, self-leveling flooring compounds and high-performance waterproofing products. Another important aspect is a tile adhesive solution that performs better with less material. It is applied using thin-bed technology, saving time and materials. In addition to enhanced air quality and indoor climate, we have observed a ~60% reduction in CO2 emissions and energy consumption. This proves that the solutions developed in our Technical Center also work under specific regional conditions. In fact, many of the solutions we implemented in our model home study have been adopted as regional building standards. Milestones like these demonstrate how our customers benefit from our ongoing product testing and research into regional application development for sustainable building practices. #WackerMea #25yearsMEA #25thAnniversary #SustainableSolutions
